i only give it a three for install rating because of how difficult it actually is to get to the top bolt on the motor. the starter fits perfectly and everything matches exactly. i have once bought a brand new starter for 200 at advance auto and it was missing the rubber plug on bottom of starter wasn’t sure it was a big deal it only lasted two years so i was onto looking for another. i read bunch of reviews and found this one and couldn’t beat the price. i installed it and hooked the wires up exactly as stock would be and it started right up great. i’ve had this starter for upwards of two months and still going strong. by the way this thing is sealed up like fort knox i noticed it has some sort of sealant at each seam and it has the two rubber plugs that it’s suppose to have. very good quality starter as far as i can see for the money. but like most things time will tell

Starter looks good and well packaged. My 2013 F150 old starter is quite a bit smaller. I ordered this before I took the old one out. The space is really tight, and Amazon parts said it would fit. It doesn't fit. I tried several times and ended up ordering another starter that had a smaller length (and looked more like the OEM starter).

This is the worst part I’ve ever bought from Amazon. Didn’t even last months and has been randomly grinding since installed new. Now the motor has separated from the housing. I purchased it late Aug 2023 and it is now early Dec 2023 and having to replace it again.. hot garbage don’t waste your money..

I got this brand of starter motor because I took a chance with them about 5 years ago with a different car.Installation was a pain but that's the vehicle, not the starter motor.The motor is reliable, responsive, and priced well below the oem part from Ford.Here's hoping it continues to hold up!!!ThanksAU//(~_~)\\

Fits like an OEM starter, now the only question is will it last like OEM. Will update if fails

09 king ranch fit put you notice from pic that end is like haft a cm our make it hard to install when I first put it in I rank 4x time intervals all 4 miss the fly wheel so no turn over and outside in Canadian winter really suck for you n the battery so I went down loosen 2 of the bolts that only put on to test try then wiggle it back in waited till next day which was warmer I gave it another try before returning it it started just fine for sec I thought the starter was short of the fly wheel anyhow now for how long it will last dpbt really know but to be honest dont expect any of these part to last longDoesn't matter if it oem you want to blame blame ford who in there right mine would put this next to the exhaust header and catalyst it nit even 1 inch gap think bout it the heat that the starter has to take it gona burn out f series do suck 5.4 3v engine I'd you do research you see where thing are place tran fluid down under cant fill with out a pump I have the same prob as most do replace rockers last month my advice get a diff truck or 2020 Ford n up
