Used it for a camper project and wanted to have something we can shut off and close for the winter time when it’s not in use. It’s fall now so we will see how it handles in the winter.

The box arrived all ripped and the hydrant was broken in two like someone drove a forklift through it. So it was sent back and I have been waiting for the replacement for over a month. The delivery date has changed a couple of times. It was suppose to arrive yesterday but I haven't seen it yet. We have had another yard hydrant for years of this model and it works great and we wanted another one. Once it gets here it should be good and I can get the giant ditch in the yard filled in instead of looking like a war zone.

As described. Did have to go their web site for measurements. Well built, suggest painting pipe then taping up pipe with self sealing tape or electrical tape to prevent long term rust out. Some rust protectant sprayed on the threads from the factory. You will need more protection here as that is where failure will occur below ground level.

top quality third one on farm had to go to post office to pick up i guess to long???

The entire head assembly thing was broken off and looks like escaped the box even... No sign of it

great price and best hydrant. do not buy woodford or campbell. i have purchased over 100 of these merrills over past 13 years. they are the best made. have purchased woodford and campbell before. they are trash
