Ghost In The Shell

I think people would like it better if they had known that this is essentially a supplemental book line being produced by Arrow Video. If you are collecting the books they are like a little piece of pop art. I have seen some negative reviews on here, but have enjoyed this line. Because I think Ghost in the Shell is great, I particularly enjoyed that Arrow focused their attention on this title. For myself, I am glad that I own a copy.

This book is very small, and I don't believe it offers a good value for the money. I don't believe it offers anything new to long time fans of Ghost in the Shell. It contains mostly summaries of information fans are already aware of. The footnotes are of some interest in that they cite sources that die-hard fans might wish to explore. Beyond that, none of the author's analysis is particularly insightful, as far as I'm concerned. A "buy" for Ghost in the Shell collectors, perhaps, but I can't recommend it on its own merits.

This book is a small 140 pg write up on GITS that may be worth $9 but they charge you $25 not worth it.
