Twiggy, A Guide to Looking and Feeling Fabulous over Forty; [Hardcover]

This book is absolutely fabulous! I've adored Twiggy since the 70s and I still do! I love how her style has evolved from mod to boho/tomboy which she absolutely slays. In fact, she may have invented boho/tomboy style. This book is a gem, full of fantastic advice and clever British humour. I love how she tells you that is okay to spend more time to look fabulous. I can't quite pull off the five-minute face but I can look pretty darn great in 15! I highly recommend this incredible book from the world's first supermodel.

Twiggy and I are of the same generation. I remember seeing her in all the magazines, and was the height of everything cool (or gear, if you prefer) from the era. It was fun to look through her book and re-live a little bit. Also to see what she is up to now. Answer: Still going strong!

I think Twiggy is absolutely gorgeous and was delighted to read a book featuring her style and how she handles her age with such beauty and grace. Although some of her suggestions were rather obvious, I found most of her ideas fun and refreshingly honest. I would recommend this book to anyone over forty (I'm actually 65) who wants to look and feel her best.

This book was filled with lots of fun information about hair, makeup, clothes, style, exercise diet, even tips for a better sleep, all geared for the over 40 woman who wants to continue looking fabulous. The buying guide is definitely geared for those in England, so that wasn't helpful to me, as I live in the US. However, it still gives excellent advice and tips on either creating or finessing your personal style. Also, the art work was beautiful, very 60s inspired in both color and style. This one's a keeper and will be referenced frequently! Thanks to a favorite icon for sharing with us!

Twiggy helped to define the "British Invasion" 1960's. Today, she is still a style icon who gives good tips on clothes, makeup, and good health. She shares much of her style secrets, like how to buy and wear boots, lingerie, hats,makeup, etc. I only wish she would have suggested some stores for purchasing clothing, and sundry items in the USA, as well as Great Britain. This is a very delightful and informative read, otherwise! The photos and color illustrations, are inspiring and lovely!

I bought this book as a Christmas gift for my mother (who is well over 40, but very trendy). It is a very nice book, which she was pleased to receive. These kind of fashion advise books shouldn't be taken too seriously, but at least this one is aimed at ordinary women, and you don't feel patronised. Well worth the money (and of course being from Amazon, it was a bargain!)

She's still a stylish lady. Some advice I knew already; some I didn't. I'm not sorry I ordered it.
