The Collected Poetry of William Butler Yeats

Superior Poetry
Yeats is so well known in Irish and English Literature that reviews would be hard pressed to improve upon critiques that have already been written. This edition of collected poems brings the descriptives and metaphors in full view. There are smaller poems and longer story poems that are philosophical and fun to read. Read one or two at a time to digest the superior wording and deep thought Yeats intended for you to experience.

Includes poems only to 1923
The technical aspects of this edition are good. It is well laid out, the linked table of contents works, and the formatting of the poems is fine. But it includes only poems written before 1923 (that is to say, only poems that are out of copyright). This means for example that it includes the Lake Isle of Innisfree and Easter 1916, but none of the poems from The Tower collection of 1928 - so that Sailing to Byzantium is missing. Other, less expensive collections of Yeats' work include the later poems, including the Mobi edition (though some reviewers have noted formatting problems with that collection).

Very nice edition
Bought this as a companion to an Audible book and am very satisfied.

So bad that I find myself in the strange position of leaving a 1 star review for a Yeats volume
First, let me be clear about the general content of this collection: it's William Butler Yeats and it is absolutely brilliant. I have nothing negative to offer regarding Yeats. The formatting and proofing of this collection, however, could hardly be worse. Poems and passages seem to be haphazardly copy-pasted from various sources with different margins, inappropriate and apparently random use of italics, and a vivid constellation of typographical errors. A high schooler with a 1980s-era word processor and a few hours could have done a better job laying this out.

I don't like it on kindle because it is not easy to browse. Not all the poems are great and they are in a style that is out of favour today. Next time I buy poetry, I'll get it in a paper book form.

Mistakes in the text
I've bought this, and found just two mistakes in one of the poems: The two trees. Why are there any mistakes for a book I've paid money for?. What about the rest of the book?, will there be more mistakes? To whom it may concern, you SHOULD make sure the texts are corrected and properly transcribed. It' a dissapointment.
