company very helpful
I bought these for my leopard gecko to eat. Unfortunately, they came during a winter storm that made the temperature -35 degrees where I live! The roaches were frozen and dead by the time I got them. However, the company got back to me right away, when I told them the roaches were dead. I just received another batch yesterday and they are all alive. My gecko is happy :-)

Great value
The Dubai's are very hard to find in my small town they dont even sell them we have to drive an hour to get them and pay a lot for just 20 bugs. I was so excited to find these on Amazon. I have ordered these Dubai's from this same place twice now and will be getting more of them. I feed a bearded dragon baby and going to try my lepard gecko on them as well. I would recommend if you are looking for dubai roaches order these from this company they are great and come in fast I have had no problems with them. Like I said I have order my 2nd time and will be ordering again soon. They go fast at my house. Thanks to amazon and the company for selling them.

Highly satisfied. I will buy more. Would definitely recommend. 0 dead. Cheaper than petsmart/petco crickets!
I ordered two sets of 200 smalls. I haven't counted them, but there look to be about 400. I tried to order them when it wasn't cold, but they got delivered to my house when it was about 40F outside. I kept checking the mailbox, because i didnt want them to stay outside long. They were there for maybe an hour, two tops. That being said, I don't see any that i know for sure are dead. Maybe one or two, but i could be wrong. The size of the roaches are also perfect for my juvenile bearded dragon. I threw them in a large plastic cage from pet smart with some cricket food, the 3 egg carton pieces that came with them, and a paper towel roll. They seem to be right at home. I plan to use the paper towel roll to get em out.Only down side, it was a but tough to get them all out of the cloth bag they were sent in, as they tend to cling to the side. However, i am very happy they came in a cloth bag and not a plastic bag. They came with dry pellets in the bag and with a heating pad inside the box to keep them warm. They were sent from Ohio.

Way better than crickets, great value, easy to maintain! ABDragons seller is great too!
I purchased 200 Small Dubia Roaches from the seller ABDragons and was very pleased with the experience. The seller shipped promptly (on a Monday, I believe) and I had them approximately four days later, despite the fact that Amazon said to expect them in two weeks. I was worried about the Amazon shipping time because I didn't understand how roaches would survive transit that long in the cooler/cold Winter weather; however, I think the shipping estimate is artificially prolonged because most feeder insect breeders only ship on a particular day of the week. Thus, if you ordered on a Wednesday, you might have to wait until the following Monday for them to ship out, plus an additional 3-4 days of transit time to actually receive them.In any case, the roaches arrived in a box, and inside the box they were contained in a burlap sack. The burlap sack was NOT sewn shut as some other reviewers have reported; it was simply tied and easy to open (possibly they have changed how they handle this in response to feedback). I do agree with other reviewers that the burlap sack's texture makes it difficult to dump the roaches into another container. Mine had an egg carton piece inside, so removing that transferred about half of the 200 roaches. However, the remaining 100 or so (I didn't count them) took quite a lot of time to shake, pluck, or flick into the large Cricket Keeper where I store them for feeding my bearded dragon. That said, these small roaches are more like pill bugs (not as creepy-skittery as the large native roaches here in GA), so I don't mind handling them with bare hands. Of course, you may feel differently. Also, ABDragons included a generous amount of gut load feed, a nice added touch making this a really terrific value.I was pleased to see that these roaches were consistently small as advertised (1/4 - 3/8 inch) with only a very, very few of larger (1/2 - 3/4 inch) size in the mix. I wanted them small and that's what I got, so this seller does appear to sort roaches well--and evidently much more consistently than other breeders, based on reviews I've read. Also, the roaches are quite hardy so despite the cooler weather (mid-50s here in GA), they were almost all alive and well, with only a few (maybe 6?) apparently dead roaches in the entire container. There was also a notice in the box that said they will be shipping with hot packs as the weather turns colder, so although I'm new to mail-order feeder insects, it sounds like they have a solution for year-round shipping of live roaches. Now for a review of the roaches: These are MUCH, MUCH better than crickets! I mean WAY better. Here's why:1. The roaches don't stink nearly as much as crickets do.2. Their poop/waste doesn't stink nearly as much as it does from crickets.3. They aren't as fast as crickets (at least the small roaches sure aren't).4. They can't jump like crickets.5. They can't escape the little 3" polymer food bowl like crickets can (at least the small ones can't), so I can even "overfeed" a bit and then easily retrieve the leftovers later without having to chase them around the enclosure or look under rocks.6. They can't attack/bite/injure small reptiles the way crickets can if you leave some in the enclosure over night (at least the small ones can't).7. They are hardier than crickets, as they live much longer and don't require much care to keep alive (some water and some gut load feed, which ABDragons actually INCLUDED with my order in a large enough quantity to last a month!)8. They are approximately five times more nutritious than a comparably-sized cricket, as there is more "meat"/squishy goodness and no large segmented legs like crickets have. My bearded dragon definitely prefers them WAY more than crickets. In fact, if you put a cricket and a roach in the enclosure together, he will always ignore the cricket to eat the roach.Ideally, the roaches are kept at 80-85 degrees, so I set them in my large cricket keeper and place it atop the enclosure, about an inch away from the (day only) deep dome basking lamp fixture and the (night only) 100 watt ceramic heater. This seems to keep them adequately warm so that they fare fine and I have only lost maybe a roach or two in a month! (Crickets would either die more easily or perhaps kill some of their own, as I would usually find a dead cricket or two per day, even when I kept them well fed and watered.)In any case, if you have a reptile that needs to feed on live insects, I can't imagine an easier, better choice as the staple insect for a reptile diet than these Dubia roaches. Very highly recommended![UPDATE 1-24-2017: I continue buying Dubia Roaches on a regular basis from ABDragons and, after four orders, have not been let down once by this excellent seller. The packages always come within a week (if I order on Sunday, I think they ship on Mondays and I usually get them on Wednesday or Thursday); the roaches are always alive and well; and my dragon continues to love them! I have since moved up to buying Medium roaches in 400 - 500 quantity, and I now store them in a large rubbermaid container that I fitted with some mesh venting to allow for airflow but keep the roaches contained. The Medium roaches fill up my dragon more quickly as he has grown quite a bit. I usually hold an egg crate piece in his cage and let him pick off 5-7 medium roaches (which average about 3/4" length) in the morning, then give him one superworm and 3 or 4 additional roaches each evening. That seems to keep him happy and healthy, and the feeding only takes a minute or two each time. He also seems to have tamed down even more as he increasingly understands that I provide his food, so it has enhanced our relationship and has made him even easier for the kids to handle and play with (less "skittish" than when he was first brought home). I'm very satisfied with this product and the seller/breeder ABDragons. Highly recommended!]

Great value but packaging was very inconvenient also no food source in the packaging
Please please PLEASE consider shipping in something other than a reptile bag with a wadded up piece of brown paper inside. It was extremely difficult to get 200 +/- Dubias out from the wad of paper. I had to take the package and my bug carrier outside to try and get all the bugs out of the paper. I lost a few in the process. Is it possible to ship in some kind of cup with an egg carton portion inside? This was an excellent price on them though. I pay 25¢ each usually and have to drive 45 minutes one way. But I won’t order these again unless they are packaged differently. Or if someone has some tips on how to get them out of the paper that would be great. Also there were a good many dead and no food that I could find when I opened the bag and dumped the contents into our bug carrier. The temps were in the mid 70s when the package arrived at my home.

Where are all the roaches I ordered???
I was please at how fast the roaches came. They were in a nice plastic container with egg carton and food in there, and even had a heat pack. That was great! But!!!! I ordered 200 and there were only about 50 in the container. I’m disappointed. So I first wrote this review on May 21. It is now June 1and I have learned something. These little roaches were all piled up in the container. It really only “looks like” there are 50 in there but today I will be finishing up this container w/ my baby beardie and there were for sure 200 in there.I have since ordered another 400. Learn something new every day.
