I build bridges for a non union company around the state and use this very frequently on my harnessPros: wide gate with a large hook and no tooth on the hook which makes it easy to fit in certain places where other fall protection cannot.Decent length(both a pro and a con)Holds all of my weight with ease 6’2 200#Strong material I’ve gotten no cuts or tears (I’ve only had it for 3 weeks)The connection hooks Havent dented or been bent yet, very sturdy.ConsThe length can be an issue when crouching down when it gets caught on your leg, could potentially cause someone to fall. The very thing that saves you could also potentially cause you to fall which kinda makes it a double edged sword.Overall I would recommend it so long as you’re aware of the possibility of the lanyard catching your leg when you stand up, so you know to pay attention to it. It would have been a 4.5/5 if not for this fact.

This is an excellent strap that meet5s all of my expectations.

I use this shorter lanyard because I work on 2 story buildings. The regular length lanyard would not catch me in time if I fell. I am happy with my purchase.

Although functionally this item was the same as the tether I eventually bought for sailing, the clips are much more heavy. But all sailing tethers available on Amazon cost at least four times as much. Maybe the description could emphasize the heavyweight quality more and specify it is for rigging.

Big hooks make it much easier to clip in and have good mobility while working on a boom truck.
