What I should have bought in the 1st place!
Tried to eliminate rats getting under the crawl space of my house. They were entering through a small hole they made where the AC freon lines go through the wall. Tried 3 different kinds of rat poison in Eaton bait stations. (Just One Bite II, Eaton 709PN, and Havoc.) A month later rats still going strong. They would just push the rat bait blocks out of they way I placed in their path, or not touch the baits in the stations. Wasted over $100 on bait and stations when this SS wool would have done the trick from the start to keep them out.Only negative: the scissors that come with it. Ones I received are heavier-duty than pictured, still would not cut this SS wool. But my tin shears made quick easy work out of cutting. I would have preferred to save a few $ and supply my own scissors.

Amazing product, AMAZING US company that makes it!
This product is good stuff! It is not flimsy at ALL like steel wool. It is much more coarse than what most people think of as steel wool. The strands of stainless steel are thick enough to easily stop those pesky little rodents in their tracks. The kit is THE way to go. The gloves worked great. My kit didn't come with the scissors and I initiated a complaint. They were SPOT on and very helpful. Unfortunately, I was pretty grumpy in my email. They said to not worry and it will be taken care of. They sent a pair of scissors right away. I apologized for my attitude and thanked them. You know what??? Cathy turned right around and said to never apologize for being disatifyied because their goal is to make every customer happy. WOW!!!!! I am super impressed with them. The company ROCKS! Their product rocks. GET IT!

Excellent product!
Excellent product! I wish I had bought this years ago. I filled in the my gaps between the soffit and roof, to keep out wasps and mice. Product come with special gloves and scissors to cut and handle the mesh, and you will need them for installation. Product presses easily into small gabs.

Works as advertised
This is my second order of this stainless steel wool roll (ran out of first one). It comes with a pair of gloves and a pair of shears. I read some earlier reviews that people had a hard time using the shears, so I never used them and instead bought a separate pair of cutters at Harbor Freight for around $5, which worked liked butter. I used this product to plug all the nooks and crannies to prevent rodents and snakes from slithering their way into the garage, as has been the case before. So far, so good. The steel wool is definitely heavy-duty and it's definitely stainless, which is what you want if you are going to be exposing it to the elements.

Effective. A couple tips...
This is working well for me, even though I am not using it according to the directions. The gloves work well, but you have to be careful to touch the wool only with the coated part of the glove. I have had no trouble with the scissors, once I realized that the difficulty is in the weave of the wool--if you move sideways an inch or two it will cut.I had squirrels coming into my attic through a couple holes they had chewed in the eaves, up where I couldn't reach even with a ladder. I bought this and a long pick-up pole ( Ettore 49036 Grip 'n Grab (50 Inches Long) ), and stuffed rolled-up wool in the holes. Occasionally some enterprising squirrel will pull out one of the wool balls, and I just put it back. Better than nothing until I fix it the right way.

Find the point of entry!
Well, I did not use this product. I seemed to have been on the rodent freeway and could not find the point of entry to use this product. I was on a jobsite in the woods and called my RV my 31-foot trapline... I used 6 traps and fed the local weasel family daily. Finally, a Wester Bull Snake moved in (under my RV) and the problem disappeared....
