Good for the price
I'll say it over and over, I wish there were products that sit between high-end and cheapo in the photography world. This is big, stable, and works well, but the machining and powdercoat/paint are thick, not rock-hard, and there wasn't room for that thickness in the design. I'm not complaining too much. It works.

May not fit your existing system.
Be careful of buying this if you are adding to an existing system. There are many different sizes of quick release systems available for cameras. This did not fit my system. Take a look at tripodquickreleasedotcom to find out more about the various sizes available.
