Best so far!!!
Two pictures of Coob Shark, two pictures of Coob Hex7, and two pictures of CKG 11x8 10mmI wanted to buy a scoop that will last. I'm aware of the affect of salt water on improperly protected stainless steal caused by heat tint during welding. My first scoop I got was the Coob Hex 7. I noticed that they properly took care of heat tint on all the outer welds, but left the inner heat tint that will be a weak spot for the stainless. I then purchased the CKG 11x8 with 10mm holes. The polish of the steel was incredible, however with this one, there were very minimal welds and again only heat tint was treated only on the outside of the scoop. Between the two I liked the 10mm of the CKG, but the overall quality of the Coob welds. I decided to try one more time with the Coob Shark. When I got this I instantly could see that all my requirements have been met. The heat tint had been treated inside and outside the scoop and the welds were amazing! This will no doubt outlast both of the other two. Not sure if Coob only treats the inner heat tint on the pro series, or if the first Coob I got missed the inner treatment. But this Shark met all my standards. Good job Coob!

Exceptional quality but a little heavy
This scoop was made very well but it was just a little too heavy for my liking and not to mention it didn't work as great in our sand down here. I would use this in a soft sand; our sand is more coarse and thick. Once you add some moisture it doesn't flow freely through the holes, and then to carry it to the water was too much work. if you lived in an area with soft fluffy sand then this would be perfect.

Love This Scoop!
Love this scoop! It is heavy duty, rigid and well made. The welds are truly professionally done by an experienced welder. The fit and finish are outstanding. No rough edges or burrs to cut your hands on. I bought a garden hoe with a fiberglass handle and cut the handle to 48". I then used epoxy to glue a 10 " wooden dowel into the end. The handle was about 1 mm to big in diameter so I carefully sanded it with a belt sander held in a vise. It came out top notch!! When it was said and done, I paid half of what another high end scoop cost with a carbon fiber handle. Couldn't be happier with my purchase!

You get what you pay for. Don't waste your money on a cheap one. China's tend to be cheaper, But!
