CDNPT2 Component Design Northwest 4-Event Clock Digital Timer, White

I have been using the PT1 timer for years. There were a couple of things I didn't like about it, so when I saw the PT2, I planned on getting it. UNTIL I read all the bad reviews of this product.Having used the PT2 for about a month, I can't imagine why other people didn't like it. The new design removes the flaws of the PT!. The display is larger and easier to read, and the buttons are now recessed. That's important, because when you had the PT1 attached to your pocket, if you bumped it against something it could start the timer inadvertently.With the PT2 you don't have that problem. The recessed buttons need to be pushed a little harder than the PT1, and being recessed, are near impossible to hit accidentally. The switch that changes modes is now on the top. I don't use it that often, but it seems like it could wear out over time if you switch modes a lot, but in my experience that rarely happens.It still has the best design features of the PT1: you can magnetically attach it to a stove or refrigerator, or clip it to a belt or pocket in order to carry it around. The larger screen allows more info to be displayed on the display, such as the mode you're in, so you don't need the old PT!'s marked mode switches.It also seems more solidly built than the PT1. Durability is not proven, as I've only had the unit for one month or so, but if that proves to be a problem, I'll revise this review.Overall, I think this is the best and most versatile multi-event timer on the market. I'd strongly recommend it.

This was a replacement for an earlier version that I accidentally dropped and it broke. I had the original for 9 years. The 4 timers that can be used simultaneously is great in that in cooking recipes that require multiple steps and cooking times can be preset and started together. You can also repeat a desired cooking time that is repeated just by setting the time, hitting enter, start the timer and when it goes off just press stop, hit enter, and start without having to reset the time. Very versatile!

This product replaced its former version, which I loved. The only reason I needed to replace the older one was that the parts of the battery cover that kept the cover in place broke off, and without the cover being firmly in place the device did not work. I wrote the company to ask for a replacement battery cover, but never heard back.The new version has some changes. In place of buttons that actually go in and out there are places on the front that you press. I found the older version easier to operate. I also preferred the arrangement of the keys/buttons on the older version.That said, this seems, so far, to be a good product. (I really did love the older one, and gave at least a dozen away as gifts.) The ability to time four different items is wonderful. You can time two ovens and a burner and a reminder to turn on your favorite TV program. The new one has a magnet that allows you to hang it on your refrigerator -- assuming your fridge has a magnetic front. My timer is now on my fridge because the magnet caused it to stick to things when it was in the kitchen tool drawer. The timer has three other functions. One is a clock. I haven't set that on either the older nor the new device because I didn't know whether it would use up the battery sooner. I did occasionally use both the stop-watch and counting-up function on the older one, but haven't yet had occasion to use them on the new one.Despite preferring the older version, I would definitely recommend this product.

The description said it included the battery but it didn’t. I paid for fastest shipping to ensure my son had it before his ACT test. It didn’t come with batteries at all! My son wasn’t able to use this 3x-more-expensive-than-the-others-timer.

This is such a great little timer. I love that it's a four-event timer. The size is great, and it's easy to operate. I loved the timer that came before it so much that I wanted another one. I just can't live without it!

Love that this has four programmable timers so you can keep track of multiple dishes. And a beeper that's loud enough to hear if you're in another room. I've had versions of this timer for 15 years. This new version is nice because it has a flat surface - no food gunk gets stuck around the buttons.

Exactly what I wanted. Very easy to set. Large numbers make it easy to read. Slim profile so it fits perfectly in the drawer. Love this timer!

Light weight and reliable. There's only one problem: when the time goes off, you cannot repeat the same timing setting by pressing one button (like most timers can). Instead, you need to enter the timing again.

at first it was difficult to understand the instructions on how to work the timer. o frustrated I gave it to my husband to play with. Finally got it working and now I can work it

upon receipt of timer, i set it up .could program only one event plus set clock. checked it next day, battery dead. bought same result. threw item into recycle bin for electronics. new battery . set up as before. battery dead next day. tried 3 times. item less then $20 not worth shipment cost to return ( for me or Amazon).conclusion: A SORRY PIECE OF GADGETRY. JUNK ! ! !
