I set it up right on my desk and plugged it straight into my computer with the provided USB cable. It cools down great and has a fairly powerful airflow.The fan comes with some nice extra features that put it above others. I appreciate that it runs in three speeds and has a built in timer. It also comes with a remote that does everything the on-board controls do. The cooling effect is where it really shines. Filling the reservoir with ice water really amped up the fan. The misters are subtle, but made a huge difference when cooling. And, although they aren't necessary, the lights on the top are pretty awesome. There's a whole variety of colors you could set it too.Overall you can't go wrong with this fan for the quality and price. It does what it sets out to do and I'm happy with the purchase. Although I'm keeping this on a desk near me, I can see that it could have a variety of uses in other areas. The fan comes with a strap, so if you needed to move it without unloading the water, it's pretty easy to relocate. Could be great for camping as well.
