Developed to succeed the EF75-300mm f/4-5.6 II, which was marketed in 1995, this compact, lightweight high- magnification telephoto zoom lens covers medium telephoto 75 mm to super telephoto 300mm. Like the EF75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM, it has a metal ring at the front of the zoom ring to give it an upscale image. It uses a DC motor as AF drive actuator. The optical system and controls are the same as those of the EF75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM. For environmental protection, only lead-free glass lens elements are used. Lens and everything that came with the kit works great. Would recommend this for any photographer - esp those just learning the finer aspects of a camera. Awesome!Just Wish the shipping company didn’t take twice as long to deliver it. SMH UPS. It sent it here and then back to Brooklyn and blamed it on a “sorting” error. Maybe use Amazon directly or FedEx.

Very disappointed
Bought this lens to replace one that I had for theeevyears. Used this lens while I was on vacation band it stopped working after about 8 days use. I was shocked. Really disappointed as lost lots of pictures since the lens quit working. Update. Having to return lens for a refund . No option to replace it

Primary 75-300MM lens is great, attachments, telephoto with Macro, not so much.
So if you are looking for a zoom lens, this is a good buy, if you are hoping that the additional lenses that come with the primary lens are bonuses, you will be disappointed. The wide angle lens with macro attachment is pretty much garbage, you can't even manually focus it, the lens give the appearance in any photo you take that it was covered in Vaseline. But if you don't care about that, then the primary lens is a great deal.

Lens great
The lens is great, the attachments, not so much. With the extender or wide angle attachment, which screw onto the lens, the lens has trouble focusing.
