They work as described. worth the money for updating the look of an older fire that look much better than the pebbled stones they replaced. the only downside, the bag is massive, so now to find a use for the 3/4 of those remaining.

The crystals were used to refurb an old Dimplex fire that had real coal and red glow. The white plus the red and black crystal pack were used to update it. There is no heat at the lower part of the fire so the plastic crystals can be used to achieve the effect required. The only problem is the small size of the crystals falling through the front bars of the fire, I kept placing them in until they seemed to lock in position. A great effect and a saving as there is no need to replace the fire. Excellent result.

The pieces a bit on the small size for my liking so I added 500 grams of stones looks brill with a fire light bulb

I HAVE A DIMPLEX CHERITON FIRE PLACE AND I ALWAYS FOUND THE COAL EFFECT BED THOUGH GOOD ENOUGH NOT AS REALISTIC AS I WUOLD HAVE LIKED,I SAW THE CLEAR ROUGH CUT CRYSTALS HERE AND BAOUGHT TWO BAGS OF THE CLEAR AND ONE OF RED AND BLACK ,AND THE DIFFIRENCE IS AMAZING ,MUCH BRIGHTER AND MORE REALISTIC

great to have a safe to handle item. You get loads & they are useful in other craft/decorative situations as they are very light

The stones are a good size and are lovely and shiny and clear. I am going to put them into my electric fire but haven't got round to it yet!
