GENUINE ARROW SPOT CLEANING GUN

I am a rockhound and often find crystals that are muddy, dirty, and hard to clean. When I came across this cleaning gun, which is really for fabrics I was a bit dubious. However I am amazed at how well this gun performs. Dirty crystals that appear half-cleaned no longer. This gun is incredible! I am careful to just use distilled water and I have been using it for several months now with fantastic results. It is powerful...so powerful that it can open the skin on your hands, so have a care...but that if why it works so well.

Update: Turns out I fell into the same boat as some of the negative reviewers. I picked this tool up again after sitting it on a shelf for a couple years (in temperature controlled, untouched environment) and it didn't work anymore. Best I could get was a buzzing sound when I pushed the actuate button.So I looked up maintenance and troubleshooting and as it turns out, this device requires some maintenance that I was unaware of:1. Run the device without the reservoir attached after each use to empty excess [whatever liquid you run through it]2. Run some general purpose lubricating oil through it (but be sure to clear that oil before next use if using on fabric!) before storing.If it's too late and you didn't use regular maintenance steps, the troubleshooting in a YT video titled "Albatross Expert SP1000 Spot Gun General Maintenance & Repair" (which seems to have all the same parts as this model) among other fixes, directed me to cleaning the piston in mine, which had gotten a little corroded and seized. I'm back up and running.It might help seller and buyer if the seller updated their listing to say something about maintenance being required, even if not the steps to doing so.-----Original review below-----Having only experience with this product, I'm supposing all similar types are the same but things to note in case you've never used one before, as I hadn't:1. It's quite loud just holding in your hand at arm's length, but I find that I end up looking from behind the nozzle towards where it's aimed occasionally and then it's almost right at my ear. Definitely recommend using at least one ear plug in the closest ear.2. It's like a vastly-higher pressure version of a dental water flosser. The water jet will absolutely penetrate your skin if you get in the way too close to the nozzle. If using to clean minerals such as quartz and you intend to hold the specimen in hand, wear a thick leather (or other thick, strong material) glove on the target hand. Even then, I wouldn't recommend getting closer than somewhere around 12-15" from the nozzle.3. Also if using to clean mineral specimens, be careful of thin and/or conglomerate structures. I was just wrapping up with one of my first batch to try it out and broke one from the force of the pressure.Specific to this product - it does what I bought it for, so I'm happy.

I wanted it to clean quartz crystals. It worked beautifully on the first one. I topped off the jar with more water, and suddenly I could no longer get it to produce the "piercing stream" it did at first. I contacted the seller, who verified it wasn't broken or clogged, I just needed to adjust the knob on back and the lever on front to get a proper stream. Hours later, I still was not able to get it to produce anything more than a gentle mist. Others have had outstanding results with this product. Me? Not so much.

I use this to clean the crystal quartz we dig in Arkansas because many people online reported it is good way to clean. It does provide a good strong stream, but the dirt is a red clay mix and is difficult to remove. I used it to clean the dirt off of an old wooden window frame we are going to refinish. It took off the grimy dirt and some of the paint. It is strong enough to cause minor gouges in soft wood, but easy to adjust the flow. I will also be using to clean around the house. I recommend it for a variety of projects and am sure I will find many uses other than what originally purchased the sprayer for.

This washer works great, im using it for gem type rocks. Seller is super fast shipping, easy to work with and will help resolve any problems, would buy from again.

This works exceptionally well....for several months. Then it stops working, or doesn't have as much pressure. This review was for my 1st and 2nd purchase...and now I'm buying it a 3rd time. I am still on the market for something better around the same price. But if you don't use it often, I'm sure it'll last longer. We have a crystal business and use it weekly.

Just staring out doing screen printing (water-based ink) and had to throw out many shirts, but this has been a life saver. I use water in mine and after every use I do clean it throw and add the recommended oil in as the instructions recommend. Ive been using it for about 2 months and so far so good.

This worked great at first. I faithfully followed usage instructions and did the maintenance that is recommended in one review. Then I put it away for the winter. I tried to use it again, and it had a weak spray. I watch the video recommended in one review and followed all the procedures. I never did figure out the problem, but it worked again. I put it away properly and when I tried to use it the next day, it wouldn't spray. I took it apart again following the video, and the piston spring is broken right in half. Unfortunately, there is no way to order the piece anywhere. So I have a $90 piece of junk!
