This definitely does shed if you're concerned about that. That part doesn't bother me, but it did arrive with a few stains almost like it had been used already. Annoying, but I didn't feel like dealing with returning it since it will be in a nursery and likely see more stains in the future.

Prettyrug however, it sheds ALOT. I have to empty my vacuum cleaner out several times, because of all the blue fuzz it collects.

This is super cute. But it sheds a lot. If I sit on it with black clothing, it’s all over my clothes.

I had a custom black with ivory accent rug at my entranceway for 25 years. I loved it. Traffic from pets and normal foot traffic discolored the ivory to an unsightly view. Years of cleaning no longer returned it to the rug I once loved. I needed the new rug to be a "true" 4'x6' without skimping partially on the size. I started looking for the size, color and quality I wanted and found this SAFAVIEH . I read many reviews about this one shedding but knew wool rugs/carpet initially do shed. Some said theirs arrived with an odor or stain/s. Even with those negatives I decided to see for myself. I'm so glad I did. Mine had NO odor..and note: I am VERY sensitive to odors. Mine had NO stains. It was a true 4'x6'. Does it shed? Upon arrival there was some noticeable shedding and quite a bit more when first vacuumed. I have had the rug for about six weeks and vacuum every day. Shedding now only seems to take place when the rug is vacuumed. The shedding has reduced by at least 80%. Would I recommend this rug. ABSOLUTELY! It's a thick wool rug well worth the bargain price. As a final note: the rug I purchased was sold and shipped by Amazon so I knew I could return it without hassle if I was not happy. The good news is it will remain with us in our home!

Carpet looks amazing, I am very concerned about how well the carpet will wear over time. I live alone and vacuum regularly and after about 8 months, you can feel a big difference in the pile thickness from areas of the carpet that are covered by furniture and areas that get vacuumed regularly. Morale of the story, ya get what ya pay for!

I ordered 3 different sizes. Very pretty but black is very hard to keep. I vacuum daily anyway but these rugs shed because they are wool. I was told by a specialist wool rugs shed for 6 months. I like them but the back of these carpets are done in black and white check. As you vacuum besides the shedding there are white pieces that are coming thru the carpets i'm not too happy about that. Hopefully these rugs won't fall apart. I wouldn't be so bothered by the shedding but the white spots don't come out unless you get down and pull these pieces out. Will this rug just fall apart in a few months? Wife not happy really. Review by Wife.

The quality of these runners are amazing! Their plush, thick, very soft, and look amazing. They do shred, but if you clean them once it will help with the shredding. Plus vacuum often.

I have had this rug over a year. Everytime I vacuum it fills the vacuum with blue fuzz. The rug itself is very uncomfortable to walk or sit on. It's scratchy/pokey and looks like it should be soft but the fibers are really uncomfortable. Ontop of that for some unknown reason the cats are obsessed with using it to sharpen their claws. No other rugs in the home. Just this one. If it hadn't been such a large purchase I 100% would have returned it. Don't but this rug.
