BestAir Pro SGMPR-2 Replacement for Aprilaire # 201 Filter (Pack of 2)

I bought these for my furnace from this site. They are absolutely MERV 11. It says so on the box. I've been researching filters (to see if I could find them cheaper) and every single site states that they are MERV 11. I don't know where the two reviewers who claimed they were MERV 8 got their information, but these filters are MERV 11. Those reviewers must have posted their reviews on the wrong site.These are genuine replacement parts for the Aprilaire 2200 furnace filter units. They are a nuisance to install - you have to insert 5 "combs" into the filter material in order to install them. But that's the way it is. There is an "upgrade" kit available to convert your 2200 unit to take MERV 13 filters. They are (apparently) much easier to install and filter more particles, however, the MERV 13 filters cost TWICE as much, for what seems like a very limited improvement. I decided it wasn't worth the $60 upgrade kit plus an extra $80 per year for filters. That probably would be worth it if there were a significant improvement in filtration, but the MERV 11 filters are very good filters and I doubt I'd notice any improvement with the MERV 13s. The only noticeable improvement would be not having to mess with the 5 combs every time.

I purchased what I believe to be 2 replacement filters and paid for 2 replacement filter. Only one arrived and my only option is to return it which I can't easily do seeing I ordered this for my son's home which in town to winterzise while he serves our country in a combat deployment. Had this item arrived with 2 day prime, maybe I would have had time to return and try to re-order before leaving though no guarantee I would have gotten what I paid for. So another stressor for already stressed out blue star families!

At least it is the right filter.It is suppose to be a two pack but they only sent one.Cardboard packing box was open, that might have had something to do with it, may not have.Guess it wasn't such a deal after all.

Very good replacement for the OEM filter at a great price. Does a great job of keeping my A/C system and my interior air clean.

The filters arrived on time. Love the price and quality. The plastic wrapping was too tight and squished the boxes together. I was thankful that the most crushed box's contents were not damaged. Filter installed as expected, fast and well-fitting.

Good value. I've been using these for several years. The combs can be a pain. Once I the first on installed, I use it as a guide to install the rest. The installation is then much easier.

This item is very difficult to install. The box says easy installing but in fact it was very difficult. Had they included better directions and photos that you could actually see (very small) maybe the installations would have been easier. I wouldn't recommend any novice diy to buy this or maybe buy it and have your heating person change the filter. Good Luck with your filter installation.B Greene

I have some up in the attic and could not get to them so I order these. I got two which is what it stated.I put the divider in on one end and slid it over and did the same with all of them. I have never had such an easy time installing the dividers. The price is fantastic. Great product. I am going to order more.
