Great book - used as reference
Liked the book. It's easy to read and is one of my book requirements for a certification course. It's a great reference book to have available as I help prepare mothers for their birthing journey!

The Mother of All Pregnancy Books
The book is very informative but personal for someone who was already pregnant found it a little useless considering don't get into actual pregnancy talk until chapter 6. For someone who is trying and planning this would be perfect book to get you from the thought of having a child to actually having that child. Compared to other pregnancy books have read it is very informative and written at good pace. It doesn't force you to read topics don't want because is very well organized and easy to skip over unnecessary sections for you.

Great book for information on pregnancy
I enjoyed reading the before pregnancy chapters. The author did a good job of examining all aspects of pregnancy, from low risk to high risk. Her labor review is about as good as you can get, considering nothing can actually prepare you for the actual event. I appreciated the fact that she included statistics and words of wisdom from other mothers.

Didn't relate
This book for more for people who have been "trying", while 49% of pregnancies are unplanned, like mine. I just didn't seem to relate to a lot of the book. The information side of it is pretty good though.

a fun, easy read
The book is fun and light-hearted, and I enjoyed the perspectives of different parents, moms-to-be, etc. I feel the overall medical/science portions of the book fell short. As a pharmacist, the medical advice wasn't always sound or accurate, so it should be taken with a big grain of salt. But if you just want to read about people's thoughts on pregnancy, give it a try.

great insights, very helpful!
This book is amazing, the author offers great information about every topic and gives both sides to the difficult subjects. Medical references and information are included, and although the statistical information isn't always displayed correctly, she gets the important points across. This won't take the place of your doctor, but will definitely help with understanding and will help drive conversations.

Not pregnant just planning:)
I'm not even pregnant yet so I don't know anything. This will be my first baby. I read a few sections and I think this book will be helpful to me.
