MikasaBravo Stainless Steel Pie Server, Silver - 5080634

Wanted a nice looking pie server to match my brand of silverware. We bought the Mikasa stainless steel silverware set from Costco, and I thought maybe that had something to do with how large they are. They are so long they barely fit in the silverware drawer and the regular size spoons are enormous. But the oversized-ness must be a hallmark of this brand because this pie server is bigger and especially way longer than any other one I have seen or used before, to the point where it makes it slightly more awkward (and I am not a small person) to handle and takes more room to store. But if you are okay with that, it's a really nice looking piece and overall I do not regret buying it. Seems like it will cut through pie crust without destroying it too much, but it does not have a sharper "cutting" or slightly serrated edge on one side like some cake/pie servers do which would have been a nice feature to get cleaner slices. Would make a great gift, though when mine arrived it had broken completely loose of the cardboard backing, which was also bent, so that would have made it hard to give as a gift if that were my intention. Didn't hurt the server at all, it has a nice weight and finish to it.

Got it for lifting wedges from Tarte Tatin. Works great! Easy to slide under the wedge, no hint of flex in the handle, and it’s an attractive addition to the serving platter.

Love the size and weight of server. Very nice looking too.

I am a fan of Mikasa. I am glad that I bought this pie saver that I can pass onto my daughter in the future.

I wanted something that would look nice with pies and do the job. It was a great choice.

Like the heavy all stainless steel construction. . .no plastic to break or trap food. Another plus is the long handle. Didn't like the pointed tip at first but it makes it easy to cut accurately.

Substantial feel and beautifully crafted. Will last a lifetime.
