Bought another version of these Hamadan rugs in 9x 12 size for family room (in taupe, also 5 stars), and liked it so much I bought this second 8x 10 rug for the living room. I think these are great rugs for the price, though obviously not ‘authentic’ oriental rugs, and so far they stand up well to my cats. Easy to clean, vacuum, and the cats nails do not catch in the rug unlike several previous rugs. There was no odor to either rug upon arrival. They are nice, weighty, plush-feeling rugs that don’t need a pad. I have used some stick-on gripper pads to keep the corners flat on the wooden floor beneath, but no problems with creasing or curling of edges.

He just looks like that.I was hopeful about this rug based on Safavieh's reputation, and somehow it still exceeded my expectations. It arrived very quickly, and rolled up (not folded as I've heard happens sometimes). I rolled it out last night and with the exception of the last couple inches along the edge, it immediately lays flat. Mild "new rug" smell but nothing too strong or chemical. It's very soft, thick, and plush. I admit I didn't actually measure the room before ordering the 6'7"x9 (because who has time for that kind of basic and commonsense pre-planning), so this thing was way bigger than I pictured, but I'm not bothered at all. If you, unlike me, are not an impulsive rug-buyer and actually do your homework (or have a basic ability to imagine scales of objects) then it won't be a surprise to you.The thing I was most worried about was the look of it--I doubted that one of these plush "faux oriental" rugs with faux distressing/antiquing was really a suitable alternative to the real thing. But it is! You really don't notice that it's not a "real" oriental rug until you're on top of it, and by that point the softness has won you over enough that you don't care. And the pattern is lovely! Looks just like the picture in my estimation, no brighter or duller.No comment on durability yet, so I'll update if it starts falling apart, but I agree with other reviewers that it certainly feels high quality. I feel sort of silly for ever thinking that a 50% off rug from World Market was ever a good deal. THIS is a deal.

I love this rug! It is so cute in my space and is SO soft and cozy to walk on. Pictured is the 6'7"x9' size.

Nice rug and good value for the money. Colors are vibrant and as pictured. I used rug adhesive pads to keep it from sliding on my hardwood floors which work well.

My rug arrived with a note. It asked me to share it with the world. It told me it had traveled a long distance and asked me to be patient with its wrinkles.It goes really well in my house and my dog and cat approve. It did have some wrinkles from being tightly bound for shipping. However, I did anticipate this from what others shared and ordered some rug grippers that affix the corners of the rug to the floor ahead of time in anticipation. So I stretched it out with my body, attached one end of the rug to the floor. And then I stretched the other end out opposite of the anchored end. No wrinkles. My rug was impressed with my work. 😉

The design on the edges is a little wonky. I wouldn't want this rug in a prominent location. Mine lives at the bottom of my back stairway so is seen only by family. The rug though is nice and thick; doesn't bunch up. I wouldn't call it soft, but it feels nice on bare feet. No anti-slip backing so it will move about....a rug mat underneath takes care of that issue. Good value. I like it enough that I bought another in a different size.

This is a seriously beautiful rug, and 100% worth the price. I never write reviews, but buying a rug online can be so difficult, and this one really deserves a good review! We have had the rug for almost 6 months now and we have a very crazy dog who does zoomies all over it, and it still looks brand new- not a fiber out of place! The colors are beautiful and really warm up our space, not overly bright and quite true to the listing photos. You can obviously tell that it isn't a really fancy oriental rug and initially I wasn't sure if I loved how the strings come up as individual colors instead of more seamlessly dyed ones (see second photo and ignore the dog hair, our vacuum is broken at the moment), but now I just love it and with the room all together I don't see those tiny details. Overall, really love this rug and highly recommend!

I really didn’t know what to expect as I’d never bought a rug online before but I must say I am extremely pleased. The colors are exactly as pictured, it’s soft and well made. Very happy with this purchase.

Look good in the van

I love the color and design, it’s a high pile carpet and very comfortable to walk on.My specific issue with the product is that it came damaged. One end of the rolled up carpet was protected with a cardboard and a thick plastic but the other end was covered in stretch film. When i unpacked and unrolled the rug I discovered that the stretch film was used to replace the damaged packaging and the product. If you think you will receive an undamaged product then it’s a good quality item.

very slow shipping

This is my second one. They have a plush feel and a rich color, which reminds me of expensive rugs in places I have been. This rug adds a lot of comfort to my room. When I was needing another rug, I was so happy Safavieh still carried this line so that I could match my first one.

I don't write many reviews but this carpet was so well priced for the quality we received I made the effort.Do not worry about anything it is a great carpet.
