Nerf Super Soaker Arctic Shock Water Blaster

We bought 2 different water guns, and the water packs (like a small backpack) for Father's Day and it was a huge hit. Both father and son got soaked, and had big smiles after their backyard battle. In this climate, where tempatures over 100 degrees are guaranteed in the Summer, we need lots of options to keep cool, but still be outdoors. This gun has the option of filling the attached reservoir with ice, which works well, although your ice cubes need to be pretty small to fit. I recommend crushed ice if you can get it.We were very glad to have the backpacks for extra water, and I recommend them with any water gun you buy, otherwise you will quickly run out of "ammo".

I don't know why the other reviewers are so freaked out that this isn't a pressurized water gun. It's clearly a pump action model!Anyway, that said, this is one of my favorite basic models. Simple reliable pump firing, good range, and a large-capacity clip (more than even the "banana" style clips) is included, with a large filling hole. It's just solid all around. Need more ammo, get the 40 oz drum or the 20 oz banana clips!Note that it does include a Nerf rail if you're into that sort of thing (no comment), and a rather nice default point-n-shoot aiming mechanism with crosshair which is unusual on super soakers.

I bought this for my brother and it did not even work. It shot out water the first time i pumped it but refused to work after that. Complete waste of money. Also, one should note that the pump itself shoots the water, there is no trigger.

I may have gotten a defective unit but it worked once and while it worked it was good. I refilled it and the gun never worked again.

Works well but not as strong and doesn't shoot as far as the super soaker switch shot blaster. But had a water gun fight this summer with my family and had a blast.. Still recommend, I recommend getting a few different types for epic battles...:)

We bought this Super Soaker for a rather unusual task: using it as a miniature pressure cleaner to remove dirt that gets stuck on the surface of our deck. It seems to work nicely for that, since the water pressure is quite strong. While we haven't used it for play, the water stream does appear to reach the 30 feet that the product description says, and the water reservoir is big enough to get a lot of spraying out of each fill up.

Great Super Soaker blaster. Works very well. Easy to handle and give a very strong stream with the hand pump. It takes all clips -- a plus -- plus this new drum that is meant for the freezer and to provide a very cold blast of water. We have not used that function yet and cannot comment. In general, though, all the kids like it.
