Eyes Wide Open: Going Behind the Environmental Headlines

A must read for those who have years ahead and children they want to protect.

It was too hard to listen to. There are a lot of websites mentioned, and the audio reads each address out loud.

I bought this in looking for new texts for my AP Environmental class. This book is an easy to read and is very informative. Highly recommend to anyone interested in our global environmental future and how it is being impacted by our government systems and the news organizations.

Good non-fiction read for high school book talk

Though this book is advertised as being geared to a young audience, I found it to be an amazing resource for any age. It's chock full of links to URL's that elaborate on his points--both visually & in print.

I would have given it a "0" if I could! Jumps from topic to topic. Information not accurate. Extremely left leaning. The author talks about population control. Crazy! China did this and they are now feeling the effects. Gender selection - so that means many aborted if the baby was a girl. Because of that, not enough females. Now they have a sex slave ring to bring females in! China has now reversed it's one child policy, but it is too late. Why didn't the author mention the terrible effects of the one child policy, because it doesn't fit the narrative. I would not recommend this book to anyone.

This is great book that teaches students and everybody about getting and evaluating information and information sources. It is totally crucial that we all learn these skills, especially now.
