Fabulous soup cookbook
This is an australian soup cookbook but the recipes in it are international. So if you are after familiar british soups then this book is not for you. But if you are after tasty soups from all over the world, then you will be delighted by this book. I have tasted some of these soups in posh restaurants in London so am now excited to try them at home. Some of my favouite recipes in the book are: morrocan harira soup, italian stracciatella soup (very quick and easy to make using only a few ingredients), russian borscht soup, thai tom ka gai soup, prawn laksa soup, cuban black bean soup etc. There are 66 soups recipes in the book, some are simple and quick to make, others require more ingredients that are not difficult to find if you go to the gourmet aisle or ethnic aisle of your usual big supermaket. I love this book and recommend it highly.

essential complications?
Lovely cover, and beautiful looking pictures. But that is about the only good thing I can say about this cookbook. Simple, satisfying and delicious, the cover promisses, but I find this book too complicated. You'd expect soups to be easy to make, but these recipes have too many ingredients for one and for another the ingredients are too hard to find. These are some unheard of soups, and it takes ages to make. Stir clear of this book if you are looking for something simple and fast.
