Good bench, but needs a height adjustment
This is heavy-duty bench that should suit most workout needs. The seat and the backrest can be independently adjusted. The pad is fairly firm, but not uncomfortably so. The gray color with red trim is also very attractive. I would have given this five stars, but there is one area which could pose a problem for some users. I measured the height from the floor to the top of the pad (when level) at 20 and 3/8 inches. Competition benches range from 16.5 to 17.7 inches, so you can see that this one is fairly high. This is the one place having a height adjustment would have helped a lot. For a lot of folks (me included), this means you cannot place your feet flat on the floor when doing a bench press. Doing a press while "tip-toeing" is neither comfortable nor stable. Other than that, a good piece of equipment.

I'm betting this is the last bench I'll ever buy for our home gym. Very highly recommended
I just bought this bench with the leg developer attachment. It's been in my home gym for just under a week. This thing is a beast. It weighs about 140 lbs with the leg developer. But it's relatively easy to move around with the attached rubber and ball bearing "scooter" wheels. I can't see ever breaking this thing. Very sturdy and easy to adjust. Well designed and plenty of steel. Also a very well padded seat, backrest, and leg supports with high quality vinyl coverings. It is also very easy to put together. There are really only a handful of parts and fasteners. Fitness reality even supplied 2 stamped steel wrenches in the leg developer box and another 2 drop forged steel wrenches in the bench box. The only other tool I used was a rubber mallet to help line things up in a couple of instances. The fasteners are grouped on a piece of cardboard and labeled by assembly step then vacuum sealed to the cardboard. The "assembly instructions" consist of 7 diagrams and very few words. But the drawings are so clear and the parts so clearly labeled that anyone should be able to assemble this alone in under an hour with no problems.I bought a cheaper bench about 41/2 years ago for my then 15 year old son to use with a set of Power Blocks. I didn't know if he'd stick with weight training. I had used a glide board almost exclusively up to that point. Fast forward 4 1/2 years and we wore that bench out. My son is 19 and weight trains every day. I started using that bench mainly for the leg developer but then more and more with the free weights. Bottom line is that the cheap bench served us well but the frame finally broke and vinyl seat covering was coming apart. It was a lighter sheet steel that was joined with bolts rather than welds. Some notable steps up from our old bench with this Fitness Reality bench.....1.) Larger seat for my big butt.2.) A more tapered backrest under the shoulders provides better freedom of movement for arms and shoulders.3.) More range of adjustment in the seat and backrest.4.) Better quality padding and vinyl coverings everywhere.....much better. Very comfortable.5.) Leg lock for ab work. Our old bench didn't have that.6.) Leg developer better suited to taller users. My feet used to drag on the floor when doing leg extension on our old bench. Now I have about 4" of clearance and I can get a full range of motion without interruption.7.) Leg developer can handle 180 lbs of steel plate vs 100 on our old bench. 100 lbs was just not enough.8.) Better range of motion and again a 180 lb max weight on the preacher curl.9.) Quicker, easier backrest adjustment that uses gravity and a metal stop rather than a spring loaded release that forces you to bend down.10.) Wider spread on the legs for more stability. This bench doesn't tip forward with 100 lbs on the leg developer like the old bench.I'm betting this is the last bench I'll ever buy for our home gym. Very highly recommended

Excellent bench, great quality, highly recommend!
I totally redid my home gym and for about a week I went back and forth between buying this bench and another similarly priced, big name brand bench. The day I decided on and ordered the Fitness Reality bench was the day that my power cage arrived, which was Fitness Reality. For the cage, I was not only so impressed with the quality, but whatever team of people designed the instructions deserve some major kudos. This company has instruction manuals and processes down to not just a science, but an art. Their instructions on building their products are second to none. To make matters better, the quality of both the power cage and this bench is excellent. I am very pleased with the two big purchases I have made on this brand and would highly recommend to anyone. The bench is very sturdy, the cushions have the right amount of firmness, and I really like the leg cushions and where they are placed. I did not get the preacher curl accessory, but I probably will sometime down the road.Bottom line, I would highly recommend for your home gym.

Good bench minor inconveniences
The assemble instructions were very simple. The bench is very heavy and well made. I am on the fence in regard to the leg Extension and preacher attachment. The preacher attachment is high even on its lowest height adjustment. The leg extension feels good but doing leg curls feels uncomfortable. The angle for your back while laying on your stomach and the pads above your knees can make doing the leg curls a little challenging. If space wasn't an issue, I would not have bought the attachment and instead purchase a stand alone plate loaded leg bench Amazon had a few inexpensive ones listed. There is another issue which is a pain, why doesn't this bench come with an Olympic plate holder or at least an adapter. Using Olympic plates on the leg attachment with the standard plate holder causes the weights to bang back and forth. I ordered an adapter but for this price one should have been included. My review is very critical but I am very satisfied with this purchase it is a quality product.

Bench itself is almost great!
I did have an issue with the ab leg bar attachment. It didn't go down far enough down for me (at 5'3'). There was also issues with the attachments that come separately as an option. When I aligned the adjustable leg settings and the preacher curl attachment I had an issue with the handles hitting the lower leg pads. I'd have to completely remove the (under knee) pads bar so it didn't bump. Makes it a bit awkward if you use the closest "under leg" setting with the preacher bar. AND the preacher pad does not go on without the leg adjustment also attached. It has a different square fitting size than the leg bar. That said, the assembly manual was well organized and I didn't have too many problems with the set up. Yes, even a girl can do it! It took about 2 hours for me without electric tools. There were a couple of missing plates on the front bottom of the U frame that were supposed to be included but don't take away from the integrity of the bench. Other than that all bolts, nuts, washers, wrenches, etc. came well packaged with very concise instruction on what went where.
