I ordered Bella and she was shipped in an open display box, and arrive din terrible condition. Her face was absolutely filthy and had black soot and dirt smeared all over her. Not giving this to my 3 year old.

First, I'll say I knew nothing about this when I ordered it (impulse buy posted on a deal sight), and wasn't aware there was a corresponding cartoon, nor have I watched it. My toddler had no interest in the back story for whatever reason, so my attempts to pull it up on the iPad were quickly redirected to Peppa or Daniel Tiger. Whatever, not needed for the toy to be fun.When this funky monkey arrived, my 2 year old was immediately drawn to it. Then when it started to make noises, she was in love. So many tricks and actions to explore! The original batteries didn't last very long: maybe a week. With low batteries, the mouth sensor can stick on so it constantly makes a drawn-out kissing sound. Also the torso sensors fade, so I couldn't burp it for a while, nor get it to make noise from belly scratches. Once the batteries dies and I replaced them, it was working perfectly. So if yours gives you trouble, start shopping for batteries.As for the child's ability to play with it at 2 years and 3 months old, it's more of a snuggle animal at that stage. She tries to sling it around like a helecoptor like I do, and isn't capable yet. Not sure she understand all of the different motions yet, but she knows if she abuses it, silly noises will happen. She likes to sleep with it, and it will shut up after a few minutes of laying down. If you want to turn it off faster, pinching the ear while upsidedown will kill it. A fun trick I leanred is the sensor that detects it being thrown in the air is set off if I hold the baby while she holds the monkey, and I jump holding the lot. I can jump up and down with the monkey screaming "weeeee!" with every hop. That is toddler exctacy right there.

My 7 year old granddaughter loves this. I couldn't figure out everything it does, but she did. She's still discovering it does more and more. It actually learns.My granddaughter was singing a family song our family made up long ago. Then weirdly this silly monkey starts singing it.Watch what you say around this monkey lol

Bought it for a birthday present. Arrived in September for a birthday in November. Seems like there's some damage by the battery connectors. By the time my 5 year old opened it the return window was closed and there's nothing to do with it.

It talks-back, make all the funny sounds, but you have to press a button in the left ear to record your voice. Which is sort of off putting because when you hold the ear it feels like a electronic button, with wires and everything. This could be more polished. I feel some say the wire will break and then it will be useless.I hope the designer would have put more thought into how to position the button .

We bought this for our grandbabies, 4 & 1, since they are obsessed with the little fingerlings and it was a hit. Bella gives kisses, giggles, poots and makes other noises lol Definitely a big hit and we plan on buying another one so they don't have to share!

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas, she was so excited when she opened it. Within 5 minutes her excitement turned to disappointment because it didn't work. I changed the batteries and still, nothing.The Amazon reps were very helpful and apologetic, sending out a replacement as soon as the 1st one was picked up. Received the 2nd and within 30 minutes we were replacing the batteries. She played with it for an hour or so after and then the functions went out. One right after the other. Replaced the batteries again and still wouldn't work correctly. Again, the Amazon reps were awesome and I received my refund 2 days after I sent the last one back. Will not be reordering.

These guys have a cool feature where if you press the ear you can talk into them and they will say back what you said. We bought 2 of these for my daughters and with both of them, that feature stopped working. They didn't stop at the same time, but both of them no longer work. I would discourage people from buying if that's the feature they're after.Unfortunately other than that my girls loved it.
