ASROCK AMD X470 Chip Set ATX Motherboard X470 Taichi Ultimate

It runs very stable and very well. The amount of features is outstanding. My only complaint is this: for everything that it comes with, and for what you pay for it.... why does it not come with basic hardware like motherboard screws and standoffs? It comes with SATA cables and SLI bridge (or is it called NVLINK bridge now?), wi-fi antennas, and I forgot what else. But no basic hardware?

Out of the box the Ultimate is a bit of a challenge as the manual does suck. You can wing the build pretty well. Just be sure to immediately update the bios and if you have a amd 2400g you must update the video first. After the bios upgrade i found the info on the line by verbose and very helpful and stability seems rock solid. 3200 ram runs xmp perfectly. I haven't tried too much tweaking as I plan to upgrade the CPU and Gpu later. That power delivery is a beast and high quality.

Good over clocking and solid performance. Rgb software has stability issues and is limitted. Rgb header placement isn't ideal. Companies need to include a hub that comes off the rgb header so you arn't forced to run the fans at all the same effect. Having a nice Marquee effect would be nice going around my case.

Not much that would make you think its a high end motherboard. Terrible manual and you have to leave a voicemail for technical support. Pretty lousy if you would like to get your computer up and running. Who knows it might be weeks or never to get support. Same thing with emailing them.

I don't really game with, I have used Asus motherboard on everything else so that what I basing my experience off. Plus 10gb ethernet, Ecc support(I am not using because the one supported is not available anywhere). The sound seems pretty good. 8 sata connectors for those running many storage devices. I liked how all the pwm fan connectors could be tuned in the bios. Cons graphics card lock down lever is small and hard to unlock, especially with big air coolers. I attempted to run dual boot different OSs(Windows 10 / Linux) however every time The other would stop working . This is the first time I have seen an issue like this and I feel like I am missing something in the bios. The Bios is not easy to find things and operate on, compared to asus. There website discourages updating the bios. Adjust fan speed in bios is tricky, I could not get it to operate how I expected when inputting custom values. It doesn't support a wide array of memory like the asus for the xmp. my G.Skill memory came up as coursir and it did work ultimately to its advertised speeds. I marked 3 stars on the services I did not use. Overall I like this board for the VRMs, 10Gb, and it does work, however it did try my patience. I feel Asrock need to work on their software to get it to the quality of their hardware. I gave 4 stars cause it does the job.

My Hynix memory tested perfectly, the 970-pro worked as well, but the mobo had a tendency to never ever come out of boot until I downgraded the BIOS to 1.6 (It came from the factory with 1.5, I upgraded to 2.0 after installing the AMD AIO drivers).1.6 seems to have fixed it for now.But how can I trust this board to not die tomorrow?"It works" "It's dead" I was sure of both statements for weeks.Now I don't know. It works, for now.The Soldered-on BIOS chip, the apparently non-functional "Clear CMOS", the lack of an ability to emergency-flash BIOS, WIFI+ bluetooth do not make up for these scary missing items.If I had a recommendation while I can still type, it would be to buy a motherboard with a removable bios chip, so that no matter how bad stuff gets, you can mail away for the fix.I've been told that "dual-Bios" is mostly useless, but it's a great marketing thing. A pristine bios waiting in the wings, how bad could that be?BIOS setup is easy, there are TWO manuals, a thick one and a thin one. You have to mostly spend days googling what stuff actually does, knowing what something is doesn't help a person know what to set it at, and overclockers are mostly unhelpful and insane.It works (now) but it's left a very bad memory in my mind. Lack of trust.I don't have a competing motherboard to point to, but one with a removable chip and dual-bios support would be a biggie for me.

when asking for the specs of what is the best AMD processor to install for my needs they told me to call AMD. THIS ASTONISHES ME the tech support of the mfg. doesn't know it's own limits/tolerances of what it produces.other than that it is wonderful in performance.do not buy a hard drive over 14 TB for this mother board. Your wasting your money.

Das Board wird mit den aktuellen Bios Updates geliefert, sodass hier sogar bereits ein Ryzen 3000 Ready Aufkleber vorhanden war.Die Leistung ist, in Anbetracht des relativ geringen Preises, perfekt und sogar ausreichend für einen aktuellen Ryzen 9 3950x was die Spannungsversorgung angeht.Die SpaWa sind sehr hochwertig und auch die verbauten Mosfets entsprechen voll meinen Ansprüchen.Für Hobby-Enthusiasten ist das Board also ausreichend dimensioniert.Für den Gelegenheitsanwender würde sicher auch ein günstigeres Board ausreichen, sofern man keinen Ryzen 9 damt betreiben will oder das letzte bisschen Leistung per OC rausholen möchte.

I used this mobo in my first PC build from scratch. All worked pretty well. Easy BIOs update via asrock.com website. The mechanical drawing of the motherboard in the manual is a bit tiny and has some hard to see letters (grey on white)- so find your reading glasses before you start ;), further I needed a bit to figure out which slots would be the best for two 16 GB ddr4 ram modules, maybe asrock should give some examples in the manual. Overall an awesome mobo with tons of features.

同世代のX470 Taichiに10GbEを搭載した上位機種でオンボードNICのためWOLに対応。前世代のX370PGの5GbE→10GbEにスペックアップ、さらにUSB3.1Gen2Type-Cヘッダを搭載、その代わりにSATAが10ポート→8ポートに減少が主な違いでしょうか。10GbEはやはり速いです、M.2SSDをストレージとして利用する場合は他のPCとのやりとりがすぐに終わります。相性、不具合等(BIOS1.20)X370PGとスペック以外で比較するとPCI-eの相性が緩和されている印象です、X370PGはUSB3.0増設カードと相性がありましたがX470Taichi-Uは問題なく使用できています。AMDのSATAがPioneerドライブと相性があったため、ASMediaのSATAにつないでいます。USBに相性があり、NorelsysのNS1066X(SATA→USB変換)とは一部のポートでどうにも認識しませんでした。USB3.1Gen2 Type-Cヘッダ(ASM3142)からType-Cメス変換ケーブルを使用してPCケースに穴開け固定しましたがRAIDタイプ(ASM1352R)のケースは認識しませんでした。SSD一個のみのケースですと使用できました、やはり内部で延長する形ですので相性が厳しくなります。RYZEN1000シリーズが出たときも同様だったのですがCoreTemp、HWMonitor等サードパーティー製監視ツールでCPU温度や周波数が正しく検知できていないです、これはソフト側の対応の問題ですね。BIOSは分かりづらく、以前ASRock経験者でないと目的地にたどり着けないかも。SATAポートやPCIeの個別無効がほしいですね、ファンコンは可もなく不可もなく、5段階くらいの温度に対するファンの％設定（内1つは100％）時間の概念がないのでファン回転が急に上がって下がってがたまにあります。OS:Windows10 64bitCPU:2700Xクーラー:Macho 120 SBMGPU:EVGA GTX1060MEM:W4U2400BMS-16G(2666OC)SSD:M6Pro 256GB +M8PeG 1TB + SUNEAST SE830 360GBOPD:Pioneer BDR-211JBK + BDR-S09増設カード:PEXUSB3S44V + PEXUSB3S42VPSU:KRPW-TI700W/94+Case:SST-PS13B
