This is a nice concept. I don't think it is worth the money though.however my son loves turtles and he had to have this one well see how it works. I will update my review after I see how he does.

Sadly, we are returning this. It is fantastic in theory. I love the concept but overall it just fell short for us, and it was a little pricey. I was hoping that we would have the ability to leave the turtle plugged in with the night light on all night rather than have it in bed with our 2 year old every night (and then once we transitioned to a toddler bed we planned to start having her sleep with it to utilize the other functions), but unfortunately the night light only stays on for 30 minutes max. And even that didn't seem to function properly when we were trying it out. It was also way too easy to remove the top, our daughter figured it out immediately and called it a bracelet and wanted to wear it on her arm (lol). If you are going to have a parental feature like that, it needs to actually work as intended and possibly even have some sort of lock aspect. I will say, it is very sturdy and I like that it comes apart for cleaning. I also thought it was well packaged and my daughter loved the color and name. It was fairly easy to set up and use but some things didn't seem to function properly straight from the beginning. The little light up clock feature on the outside for teaching time and numbers was a nice touch as well.Overall we felt this was great in theory, but fell short in execution. If it was cheaper we may have kept it for a toy and teaching tool but for the price it's going back.

I really wanted to like this product but I honestly think that the execution was not as good as it could have been. I wish they just kept with the concept of a sunrise alarm clock and not try to overly complicate it with telling time, count down etc.First, this isn't truly a sunrise alarm clock. All of the lights automatically turn on 1 hour before it's time to wake regardless if in smart alarm mode or standard alarm mode. Their definition of sunrise alarm clock is they have a mixture of red lights and white lights and then each white light turns red every 5 min. The sunrise alarm clock I have starts as a dim warm white light and gradually increases to a bright white light. White lights have a blue hue to them and are way too bright, adding red lights does not change this. If you set it on the dimmest setting then it will never get bright enough to wake you up. If you set it on a setting to wake you up then it will wake up your child 1-hour before its time to regardless because the white lights are bright.Last, the clock and the count down feature are just way too complicated. It's one thing to teach a kid to tell time on a clock; but then also add the complexity of yes you can also use a clock to count down when it's time to wake up by counting the white lights and multiplying by 5? I don't even know how to put it into words on this review, how am I suppose to explain this to a 3 year old?There are virtually no instructions in the box or on their website. I spent around 20 min trying to get this to function how I thought it should. Why would all of the lights turn on 1-hour before waking up in smart alarm mode? I honestly thought the product was defective and it wasn't until multiple emails to the company to confirm that is how it was designed.Overall, I think the concept behind the turtle clock is a good one. I just can't get behind the features I mentioned above. Maybe there will be a second version that is much more simplified.

Would never pay 75 for an alarm clock, but placed in cart and watched for price drop, THEN purchased. Bc I have 2 daughters, who shared a room, so, glad for the lower price at first purchase, then they split rooms!! Daughter without clock wanted one. I sought other clocks and got one with bad Chinese to English translation instructions and could never even set time to the thing. Anyway, awaited price drop and again scored 2nd turtle clock. Now 1 pink and 1 blue in house. I can set them and set the alarms. Happy not to pay full price, keeping 40 in pocket! Geez. Would give it a 5 if not for the price point. Mad at them for that.

After years of searching for something to help our 10-year-old son with autism feel more secure about sleeping independently (and NOT in our bed) to wake at a scheduled time (NOT at 4 AM), we were so excited to stumble upon Tick Tock Turtle!The packaging was beautiful! Everything was well explained and organized. Our son loved Kai, as soon as he saw him, but the real test still laid ahead of us.Of course, we had our doubts about the effectiveness of Tick Tock Turtle, because nothing we had tried in the past had worked; we had tried standard alarm clocks, nightlights, special humidifiers, stuffed animals, lighted aquariums, oil diffusers, specialty bedding, and even a pillow with an MP3 player specifically designed to aide children with autism. Nothing worked! That is, until Tick Tock Turtle.I can’t tell you what a relief it is, to not have to keep telling our son, “It’s not time to wake up!” Now that his turtle is in our life, we lay it beside of him, and when it’s tapped, it will emit a soothing red glow. Within an hour of the alarm time, the turtle starts to imitate natural sunlight, to help make wake-up time easier. It also monitors movement, so it knows precisely when your child is ready to wake!Right now, the only recommendations I would make is to have a tamper-resistant cover over the settings.We are so thankful for this product, and we can’t wait to see what amazing products come from this company!
