Royal Tablet Based POS System

I bought this POS system for my liquor store since I felt that I could speed up the process of my store's continuing growth without needing to spend money every month for a POS subscription. Other POS system are priced in the thousands while making its customers pay a monthly premium for service. I do not like at all. All I can say is this POS system is one of the easiest system to learn while deciding to transition from an old-style register to a contemporary one with all the resourceful functions, such as allowing orders placed by customers to reach the kitchen or back of a retail store (I bought a epson thermal printer- TM-T20II on Amazon to allow for such a function) and allowing managers to access and generate financial reports based on sales, refunds, stocks, and cash-in and outs. Programing inventory was a breeze. Adding bar code data was easy with an optional bar code reader. In fact, programming inventory variations was one of the impressive things that I like. For instance, having the ability to add a distinction between small/ medium cups of coke with the ability to customize the order for customers like... does the customer want less or no ice? The order reaches the kitchen printer, speeding up order production while maintaining professional work environment. Also allowing add-ons like, does the customer want ketchup or mustard in his or her hot dog was what blew my mind.I would say a business with fewer than 10 employees would greatly benefit from all the functions this POS has to offer. A retail or mixed retail and restaurant business would most benefit from this POS system the most. A big restaurant with more than 26 would not as the system is not as fast to keep up with high demands.There are many pros and cons of owning this system by my experience of using it for 5 months.Pro-Fast response with the touch screenEasy programing and allows for custom programs.Can add optional thermal receipt printers/ bar code readers/customer display screen(HDMI or USB).Has bluetooth/wifi functions for various uses like connecting 3rd party devices.Cons-Has minor bugs that pop out once in a while , but is resolved from frequent releases of software updates.Does not allow VAT programming. Which stores in the USA are not affected.Overall I am surprised the number of functions this POS offers for such a great price. Can't beat the price and quality. I will update you in the future with the status of further using of this system.

This item has multiple flaws. Issues I have, company information input into the register will not show up on the receipt correctly. The city and zip code is flipped. The register will sometimes read the barcode from the barcode scanner and sometimes not. Printing to a kitchen printer using IP address will not work and a lot more issues. Plus, the purchase price is for basic functions only. You will be better off with a cheap register. Additional features will cost additional. Tech support is not helpful in resolving any issues you have. They will tell you every time you call with an issue that they will have to research the problem first and get back to you within 30 minutes to an hour. Why do they have to research the issue? Shouldn't they be train for basic issues already? Tech support will never call you back either. When you call to follow up, they tell you the same thing, they have to research your problem again. If you bother them enough, they will give you and 800 number for "level 2" support, but you will never get a hold of anyone. You can leave all the messages you want, no one will call you back. This item have a lot of issues that the company needs to pay attention to and fix it. Its definitely not worth the time or money spent!

It was easy to set up

I was in IT for 30 years before buying my Auto Repair business. I designed IT systems for airlines, hotels, phone companies, and others. I have written 100's of thousands of lines of code in many computer languages during my IT career. Speaking from my experience, this product is not *ANYWHERE* ready for sale. It has (as its basis) the Android tech stack which is fine. However, the logic in how the software operates is, well, no other way to put it other than to say it is incomplete most of the time, and just downright STUPID most of the time. It's quite obvious the software was written entirely by tech people, without any inclusion of the business side/business knowledge of the areas for which it was developed. If you have a career that spans coding and system design, it's easy to see this if you are exposed to the logic of how a system works, and how it was developed.Royal has screwed the pooch on this machine. Maybe they had sunk so much money into its development that they had to release it to keep from losing their shirt? Don't know. What I do know is the product is *very* sub-par for its purpose.

I have only used this for retail, and plan to upgrade the software to include inventory control. It does a very good job of providing reports of sales which is vital in a small business. I would not recommend this system for anything larger than a small retail/convenience store, as every product needs to be inputted manually, and that can seem overwhelming.

Muy fácil y práctico de usar

We Dont really write reviews but this Had to be done!!! Please!!! if you are looking for a good POS (Don't Buy this One) it is very Flawed it restarts a lot you can't upload products ect its just bad not user friendly at all ... we paid over $600 thinks it was going to make or shop move more seamlessly we were very wrong its a total hassle... they if you don't figure it out in 14 days your stuck with it... they don't get back with you when you message them. And worst of all if you get lucky and they take it back there taking 20% and your out of shipping cost$$$

Mi total pos 1500 a Sido con sinceridad un dolor de cabeza, viene en otro idioma el instructivo, estaba a punto de devolverla pero se me pasó mi tiempo, al ver que no podía devolverla me puse a investigar lo que decía el manual, me hubiera gustado mucho que trajera uno en español pero buenoEl vídeo que trae no lo pude ver ya que no lo leía mi DVD.Por fin después de dos meses pude introducir unos artículos, para poder ingresarlos tienes que hacer un impuesto yo le puse uno de 0.01000 ya que mis productos ya contienen impuestos en el precio y no necesitaba otro y mucho menos me quiero meter en problemas con la máquina.Y si ya entran los productos con el precio que quiero ya para que le muevo.Lo que menos me gustó es que no trae ningún número para pedir ayuda a algún tectico que me diga que estoy haciendo para que no la pueda usar como se debe.

No funcionó la pantalla nunca encendió no prueban las máquinas antes de enviarlas

El producto es bueno. Si facilita los cobros y ayuda mucho con todas las estadísticas e informes que da. Es fácil de usar. El sistema no es muy estable de vez en cuando se reinicia. Pero es un buen punto de venta. El Soporte de Royal es bastante malo. Tiene varias funciones y si facilita los cobros. Otra punto en contra que le veo es que la báscula solo tiene conector serial. No se puede usar por losPuertos USB que tiene el punto de venta. Esos están destinados para otros accesorios. Y las básculas modernas que he comprado vienen con USB. Y no existe adaptador usb B a Serial hembra

Me llegó el producto pero la tablet viene bloqueada con contraseña. Intente poner la contraseña de fábrica (5555) y me marca que es incorrecta ¿Como puedo desbloquearla?

De repente se reinicia, no se puede ni configurar.
