Beautiful
I almost forgot I had this . I found it today hidden in the kitchen lol. My 9 year old daughter wasn't too interested. But i thought it was cool. You don't get to open oysters with real pearls in them every day.Once i rinsed them and the shell they look pretty.I did it outside just in case it smelled when opening the plastic. It didn't smell hardly at all. There were some hints of the ocean smell but that's to be expected lolVery cool. Thank you for giving people the opportunity to open of these.

Cute Pearls
This was very hard to open but once I got it, little pink pearls started dropping out. So fun!

MOST REPUGNANT SMELL EVER EXPERIENCED
First, I'm an experienced Crime Scene Cleaner- think about that for a second. This is the 2nd time buying one of these from this seller. First time- not too much of a smell, normal smell for an oyster- arrived sealed with hardly any smell at all. This time around, I dry-heaved about 50 times while opening and removing pearls w/my 8 yr old twins. Even BEFORE opening it, it smelled DISGUSTING. First time I bought one, we had fun removing the many pearls inside & was a great experience. This time, I seriously wanted to give up on the whole thing. One of my girls wouldn't even come near it. We opened it outside & I had to step away from it, dry-heaving SEVERAL times. The next day, today, I want to puke every second bc the smell is not completely gone from my sinuses. I CANNOT express how disappointed I am over this. I should have sent it back immediately. (And I keep wondering how badly the Amazon driver's truck smelled just from transporting it!!) Lesson learned. I will seriously question purchasing one of these oyster shells from this seller again, and I will definitely seek out a different seller if I do want to buy another in the future. **SEAL YOUR FRESH PRODUCTS BETTER!** I've never been so repulsed. Can't say that enough. Again......crime scene cleaner.

Great Customer service
UPDATE: I reached out to the company regarding my below issue and they sent me a new oyster. They were so easy and pleasant to work with. The new one was far less smelly and had beautiful pearls inside! This first of all smelled horrible! I have bought oysters before and this is by far the worst smelling one ever! The pearls were horrible and tiny. Honesty the worst pearl I have ever seen and the majority are way smaller then listed.

Leaking and stinky
It said it would be vacuum sealed so when I opened up the amazon wrapper and took out what was inside I wasn’t expecting it to be leaking out of the package and stinky. I wasn’t wearing gloves to remove the package from the amazon wrapper so the liquid that was leaking went on my hands and my kitchen counter. As you can see in the photo, the oyster was wrapped in bubble wrap and then put in a plastic wrapper. The smell was not formaldehyde. It was a gross smell that made me nauseous. I soaked the oyster in water and cleaned up the counter and washed my hands a bunch then put on gloves to open it. I wish I would have bought this in the summer so I could have opened it outside instead of in my kitchen. But we opened it on top of foil and paper towels and pulled out 24 small pearls. I know it’s the luck of the draw what they pearls will look like. I wasn’t overly impressed with the ones in mine. Small and dull. I’m also not sure how to properly clean and polish them. I wish there was some instructions on how to properly care for them once removed from the oyster. I washed them with soap to try to get the stink off. I’m not sure what else to do. It was interesting but I doubt I will buy again.

A good experience for kids and grownups
I paid $16-$17 for one oyster and I believe it was worth it. It was a bit hard to open (10mins) but I believe it’s because I open it with a butter knife. There was a funky fishy, chemical smell to it but it’s to be expected. We were so excited that it didn’t bother us to much. My 8 year old loved the whole experience. Of course their not big pearls but it’s reflective in the price. I got 3 almost “perfect” pearls. That makes me happy. We got 22 pearls beads in total (some were a bit odd looking) but we thought it was worth the experience. Would recommend for parents with kids. Another plus was that it arrived the next day and it was sealed correctly so it was not messy. I hope you have good luck with your purchase.

Pearls
These are the best gifts ever. Kids and adults will love them. They are so much fun to open. We got different colored pearls. Different sizes and shapes. They do smell kinda gross but it is so worth the money to buy and open. Everyone’s loves them!

Fun product, BUT...
Oyster pearls are fun, I've been purchasing from different vendors recently. So far, this one is the only bad experience. Beautiful pearls inside, but the shell smells bad. When you smell it initially you think, "not a terrible smell," but then it lingers. The smell intensifies in your nose and starts to burn like you've smelled chemicals. Also, it was giving my family a rash on our hands upon opening.Wear gloves, don't smell, and wash everything after opening if you plan on purchasing :)
