Qitian Assorted Imitation Suede Leather Necklace Cords with Lobster Clasps Ropes 18'' 20pcs

Love the colors and arrived quickly but when I made the necklaces, luckily as I was inspecting them before going to a show to sell my jewelry at; I found several where the links were not completely tightened/closed & had come apart though the clasp was still on, so if someone had bought it & was wearing it, they'd have either lost it or it would fall off, & thought I'd sold them a cheap piece!! So I have to check each & every link on the end where the clasp could be attached to, & even hold up to a light to make sure I can't see any space between each link, which is very time-consuming, when I could be spending it on making my pieces!! Otherwise, I love the colors & the length is perfect & only found 1 that had a defective clasp that I had to replace, which happens with any kind of bulk order of necklaces like these or the leather cording. If you don't know how to make jewelry, you might have a more difficult time, but just take some needle nose pliers and carefully push together each of the links to ensure the necklace doesn't come apart at any time! Very pretty and soft velvety suede-like material!

For those wondering what you get in these packages, I ordered five packages. Every package contains two each of the following colors:Pink, Red, Dark purple-red, Purple, Yellow, Blue, Teal, Brown, Dark Green, Black.So that's two each of ten colors making up 20 per package. There is very slight variation in the tone of some of the really light colors - some of the pink are really obnoxiously bright and others are a bit darker and more subdued - but you can tell that it's the same color dye being used on them.As for the items themselves, there's not much to say. They're simply a strap of dyed imitation suede with a lobster claw clasp on one end and a short chain on the other. I got these as a lower labor and cost alternative to cutting and tying a real leather strap for my pendants to try and keep the price down in the same range as competing items, and they should work pretty well for that purpose. As low-cost necklace straps, they're on par with others I've seen.

I know it says it is imitation suede but the picture made it look like it at least had the same look and texture as flat, cut suede cord. It does not. It is just shiny rounded cord.

I just received my order of Organza cords for necklaces. The colors are nice and there are two of each. They are shorter than I expected, however. The description states that they are 18" long. The cords I received are actually 17" long with the 2" inch chain extender. These will be very tight for someone with a larger neck size. Additionally, one of the extender chains broke when I tried to string it through a bail. It will be easily fixed, but makes me wonder about the overall quality of the necklaces as a whole.I also purchased the suede leather cords from this company a few weeks ago and had problems with their quality. For this reason, I will look elsewhere for comparable items before ordering anything made by QITIAN again.

These are really nice little necklaces the leather seems pretty good quality. The in class seemed pretty strong to hold the leather in the colors are beautiful. I really like these a lot and am using them to make some clay pendants for a show coming up soon. The colors match up well the linked is what it said it was. The lobster claws are a little hard to work but they're not much different from the ones that are available in the local hobby store. I will buy this again I think it was a really good purchase. The price is good for what you get it seem to be pretty good quality

In my package I received 2 of each of the following colors; light turquoise, gold, black, tan/taupe, brown, light pink, fuscia, purple, red and medium blue. There were no damaged or defective items in my order. The cords give a little pop of color to the handcrafted pendants I make. I do have an issue with the quality, however. Several of the necklaces broke while I was putting pendants on them; the end cap pulled away from the faux suede cord, or the extender chain broke. If you're using these for yourself or a group craft, they'll do. I just can't recommend them if you're going to use them for jewelry you'll be selling. I don't feel they'll hold up well in the long run.

These cord necklaces are the perfect complement to the cracked glass and owl pendants I am making. The colors match well with the enamel colors on the glass and blend well with the rustic appearance of the piece. The only problem I had was with the extension chains being poorly affixed in some of the necklaces-- the ring is not properly placed and easily falls off the end crimp. Easily repaired but should not need to be fixed by the customer.

Colors are very nice, and I tugged on the clasp ends and nothing came loose. My main concern is the dye. I tested one cord by wetting it slightly, and the dye did transfer to my finger. Not sure what I could use to treat them before I sell them to my customers with pendants on them. Maybe I should try wetting them down and letting the dye come out in the water. Being faux suede, it shouldn't harm them, but I don't like having to do something extra to new items.
