fun - easy - good value - CUTE!
Who knew you could make a cute little creature by just stabbing wool felt together? This was my first try at needle-felting and I found myself smiling as the little fox took shape. Fun and recommended! It took about 90 minutes to make the little guy. I did it at the laundromat. The instructions were ok, I’d say they were adequate but could have used some “tips” in certain areas. I found it hardest to sculpt the cheeks and nose on the face and create the crisp lines between colors. There is definitely enough materials in this package. My fox turned out pretty big as compared to the photo and I had some wool left over. His tail looks more like an arm LOL. Just get used to stabbing! Stab, stab, stab over and over with the needle and the pieces seem to miraculously mold together. Kind of like sculpting with clay — but with fuzz. It was actually easier than I thought. I also used scissors to cut down some of the pieces before I needled them to the body (in case you make them too big, cutting is OK). You need less wool than you think! It really balls up well. You can be conservative when grabbing your wool pieces as you go along. It’s like painting with fibers. A really fun project. And no matter how careful you are, you WILL stab yourself a few times but it’s not too bad. Instructions include Spanish and French. (Ignore that ball of grey yarn in my pic - it's just to prop him up, not part of the kit).

Fun but tedious project
Not enough wool

Fun craft, good value
I really enjoyed this kit. I'd been interested in trying out needle felting and I think this was a good way to get started. The directions were pretty easy to follow and my fox turned out very cute (although not exactly like the picture on the cover). The kit comes with one felting needle (no handle, just the needle), one sewing needle, a piece of dense white foam (a little bit larger than a deck of cards), orange, white, and black wool, and black embroidery thread. It was nice that the instructions had outlines for the general shape and size of each piece. There were no molds, the shaping of each piece was done free form. I think the instructions could have been a bit more clear about how exactly to add the embroidery thread accents, but overall l it was a fun, satisfying craft and a good value. FYI, you probably will poke yourself with the needle a few times! When I was finished, I even had enough left over wool to make a little cat. I would definitely recommend this kit -- but because of the nature of needle felting (stabbing with a sharp needle!) and the free form sculpting of the wool, it's probably not a kit you would want to give a younger child.

Good project for a starter!
Great project! Really cute but I think the directions need revised. Super easy to follow but I think separating the head from the body would make it look nicer and doing the toes before connecting the feet. Other than that it’s great

So easy and cute!
I've cross-stitched for years but have never heard of needle felting until quite recently. I decided to bite the bullet and give it a try. What really motivated me was that it was under ten dollars and included everything you would need. I had no trouble following the instructions but I would heed the measurements of the felt for each step because it would be easy to run out of felt. They do give you enough for the project, but I could definitely see how you could overuse the materials.Basically, you roll up bits of wool and take the needle provided and poke the heck out of the wool until it feels like felt. The needle has nicks near the bottom that somehow help create the felt. They include a thick piece of foam to jab when you are punching the felt. I recommend strongly using this because that needle is crazy sharp and I did get myself a couple of times when I thought I could hold the wool in my hand and work the needle. Ouch.I started this at 1:00pm and was finished by 5:00pm. But it should be noted that I did not work on this the entire four hours. Laundry, dishes and other household chores interrupted my crafting multiple times. I've added photos so you can judge for yourself.I will definitely be getting more of these kits!

Great kit!
I LOVED this kit! SUPER CUTE! This was my first time needle felting. The directions do explain how to needle felt but it helps to watch a you tube video as well. The directions are really easy to follow. I was doing this late at night, so maybe I mis-read a step but when you use black to make the ears (step 4) make sure you leave some left over for the eyes and nose (step 14 &15). I used waaay too much and when I got to the end steps to make them I was left with no black felt! Kinda my fault for using too much! As for felt quality, IDK much about that, seemed easy to work with, it held together. If its someones first time , new to crafting all together, maybe an easier kit with less parts would be better. As you can see my fox looks nothing like the picture, the kit leaves room for much creativity!

No needle or thread
So it says it comes with wool, a felting needle, felting mat, and thread but all I had in mine was the wool and the mat. It was a big bummer because I thought this would be adorable and I was really looking forward to making it. Couldn't find a felting needle at my local craft store, so I attempted to just try really without one and that did not work at all. In the end I just had chunky blobs of wool that I had no way of piecing together and a whole heap of disappointment.

Was way harder to do than I thought
It was fun to do but I wouldn't want to do it again. Felt like there needed to be more felt. And I ended up with a flat pancake of a fox instead of an actual tiny teddy

Precioso
La lana es muy suave y fácil de manejar, es mi primer proyecto de felting y ha resusltado muy sencillo. La instrucciones son claras y están en tres idiomas: español, inglés y francés. Muy recomendable incluso para niños de 10 años en adelante.

Good intro kit
Great little kit to introduce myself to needle felting. It was pretty easy and gives you enough practice to know what to do and not to do in future projects. I had some leftover black wool. I used the rest. Follow the guide and you’ll be fine.

Me encantó.
