I like this soap! The smell is really invigorating. When I first opened the box, I was really excited to use it the same day because it just smelt so great!In terms of skin improvements, the first few days of use, my body skin felt soft but I saw some bumps on my face, and I wasn't pleased with that. I typically do not have bumps when I use Dove originals soap, but I had wanted to switch to something more organic that would actually improve the health and quality of my skin. I was thinking of not buying this again, but I had decided to stick to trying for a week.I'm glad I did, because by the end of the week/beginning of the next week, my skin looked really lovely. I was practically glowing and my skin felt really nice and comfortable. Disclaimer: I also use castor oil and aloe vera gel on my face so these products contribute to my results, but I do believe the charcoal soap played a big role in clarifying my skin by bringing out the impurities lying in the layers of my skin. This was probably why I saw the initial bumps.I also gave my mother some of the soap to use (I broke off a piece for her to try) as she had really bad skin due to using toxic skin care products for many years. She had itchy red hives all over her face because of those products that she had to cover with makeup. She tries this soap and, for the first few days, she had similar reaction as mine. A few bumps popping up on her face. But then there was a noticeable change in the quality of her skin after only a week of use. Her skin now looks softer, supple, and she has a youthful glow! (she also uses aloe vera and castor oil). Now she wants to buy 3 more bars and I even advised her to go makeup free because she will soon not need it!This soap is really a must try. It even keeps away mosquitos, apparently!I docked one star only because it can be messy to use in a white shower. You have to be mindful of how you use the soap, but I think that's just characteristic of using charcoal products. But this is one small detail in all the great benefits of use!

I decided to wait until I'd used the product awhile, and it's been 1-1/2 months now. I've always had very dry skin, and if I don't use body oil or lotion after my shower, I practically itch myself bloody by that evening. And, although I've never had acne, at 68 I'm I'm now plagued with "clogged pores" that resemble a small whitehead, but as soon as it's noticeable, it's already as hard as a BB, and has to be surgically removed, which is not covered by Medicare because it's "cosmetic." I was also tired of multiple products, and wanted one face & body bar that wouldn't dry out my skin, and would help with the clogged pores. I have finally found it. I can go without oil or lotion, which is nice on a humid day, and my skin doesn't get dry & itchy. There have been no new clogged pores in the past 4 weeks, and I'll confirm that with my dermatologist next week. I had purchased a Lemongrass scent Tom's of Maine deodorant and loved the scent, so I went with the Lemongrass/Lavender bar. The Lavender makes it even better! The last face & body bar I'll need!

Alright, I’m gonna start off by saying I’ve never used any other charcoal soap before. But I will say I never will because this bar right here is awesome! It has a pleasant citrusy smell to it and when I wash my face with it always feels squeaky clean afterwards. It gives my skin a pleasant glow and I’m overall very satisfied with it! Little word of advice though, but a soap saver for it because it does leave little black smudges if you place it down on anything. But an awesome product I would recommend to anyone!

I bought this soap because I need something for summer that is scented in a way to not attract bugs. I have really sensitive skin too. This soap has a satisfying lather, light scent, and my skin feels great without any itching or dry patches. It is exactly what I was looking for. So far, it isn’t dissolving into a pile of slimy mush like some other natural soaps I have tried.

Lovely smell, gentle, non- irritating. I use it all to limit odor/ skin infection from bacteria/fungus and to soothe itchy skin!

Bar soap is very rough, got to lather on your hands before applying to body. But there isn't much exfoliating feeling given it does not contain any visible particles.
