Emerson ER105004 1.6 CU. FT. 1200 Watt, Inverter Sensor Cooking Countertop Microwave Oven, Stainless Steel

The first time I used this Emerson, the glass plate that revolves around on bottom of microwave developed a bubble in the glass on the bottom of the plate and then fractured on the top of the plate. It looks like a 2 inch miniature volcano. I have contacted Amazon twice. They have not been able to contact Emerson during either phone call. All I want is the glass plate replaced. Amazon promised both times to get back to be on this issue. They have not and it has been several weeks. Attached picture is close-up of bottom of the plate. This happened on the very first use to heat a microwave meal.Update #1 After multiple calls to Amazon and several to the Emerson folks, I was finally given a number at Amazon. I called it and was able to get the glass platter replaced with no additional hassles. If you have a problem with this item, THIS is the number you need to call: 1-800-898-9020. Getting to the correct number and the right person was a long process. Now that I can actually use this microwave, I am very pleased with it. I bumped up from one to three stars. I replaced an old small 600W microwave with this 1.6CU 1250 watt. What a difference! Lots of good technology. I have no complaints with it, other than the original problem with the bubble in the glass platter.

I like the inverter process so the foods when microwaved always come out equally warm/hot. I like the options available. the one thing missing is the changing the Power strength on the fly. Have to set the time first then select the power level and go from there. 1200 watt power is great and it makes for good cooking in different ways and because of the inverter, it cooks, or heats foods up equally all over. Thawing the meats has worked very well without drying up the meat ends. Overall, it works very well. I'm pleased. It is a bit big so if you have a small space, this wouldn't be for you. If size is not an issue, this is for you.

Its so far so good with this microwave. It cost a little more than I wanted to spend, but it has more power and fits into a smaller space which is great with so many being absolutely huge and too tall for my space while having the same interior dimensions as this one. It took a while to get used to, but I like that when you push the buttons you get 1, 2, 3 minutes, etc. and the add 30 seconds is nice. Also, I particularly like the soften mode for butter.

As of April 2022 this microwave stopped working after only 2 years and 6 months. It was a good working microwave until it wasn't.

Door shuts loudly, glass tray wobbles. Buttons are starting to peel off. Heats up good tho. Wouldn't buy again.

Less than one year after purchasing it started tripping the house circuit breaker. After several resets it stopped working completely...probably blew the fuse in the microwave. I'm not paying money to ship it back! No more Emerson microwaves for me!
