Motorcycle survival gear - Order 1 size larger
I am a year round motorcycle rider. Rain, sleet, cold, frost, dry, damp, cold, colder and coldest. Nothing sucks more on a cold day than some rain. I own equipment for all the temperature seasons. Cold, warm, and hot. However I didnt own anything for the condition of rain. I decided I needed something that I could throw in my backpack and always have with me. I read the reviews on this gear and some others. I wanted just plain black because if it gets messy with grime from the road I wont have to worry about the appearance.I received my delivery today and while it wasnt raining I decided to go ahead and try it on like it was. I pulled the pants on over my jeans and put on my heavy riding jacket. Icon, insulated, all the CE padding. Its thick and has kept me warm on some REALLY cold days riding to and fro. The jacket is an XL and my rainsuit is an XXL, with my riding jacket on it fit over it PERFECTLY!!!I am 6' 4, weigh 220lbs. Jeans 38 waist with a 36 inseam and T-shirt/jacket size is XL. If your stats are in the same range and you are athletic built this will fit. If you are overweight you will most likely need something larger.Further the build and material seems of great quality. The seams are double stitched with a heat welded backer. Material is a solid construction and feels like it will hold up well to some regular abuse.

The size i ordered was a good fit for me
The rainsuit does what it was designed to do. It is definitely waterproof and im sure it will take heavy rain droplets impacting at high speed. With regards to durability, i am not yet able to tell how long it can put up with air rushing through as i consistently ride at 80-90km/h.Other reviewers have complained of tearing at the seams and zippers breaking but i have not yet encountered that. The size i ordered was a good fit for me.UPDATE:I just rode through heavy rain.My clothes didnt get wet. But i nearly had to stop on the road shoulder for a break. It felt like a thousand needles were striking on my poor body. This still gets 4 stars. But you should consider wearing long sleeved clothing underneath if youre riding through rain more than 100km/h.

Worth Every Penny
I bought this suit specifically for a motorcycle safety training course this past weekend. The forecast called for 100% chance of rain the entire two days of the course. It actually did rain the entire time I was out learning how to ride. I was literally standing and riding in 10 hours of rain. At the end of the first day the seat of my jeans had *just* started to get wet. I rolled my pant cuffs up and they stayed dry. The amazing thing is my socks stayed dry most of the time. It was MY fault they didn't stay dry the whole time. I didn't notice the leg had ridden up until it was too late. Long story short - I would GLADLY buy this set again and highly recommend it.Concerning fit, I'm a 5'7" female. The Large fit on top of three layers of clothes AND the motorcycle jacket. I accidentally wore the boyfriends XL one of the days and didn't notice a difference. The pants leg was maybe an inch longer. If in doubt - size up. The extra inch could mean dry socks!

Adventure motorcycle rider. It worked well.
I read a zillion reviews for motorcycle rainsuits. Everything from cheap suits to suits exceeding $100 bucks. They are all very inconsistent in the performance of the suit. I decided to go cheap and have no regrets. It kept me dry. However, I will say, I've only used it once. I carry on every ride, but have been fortunate enough to only get caught in the rain once.I would normally be a large, but purchased extra large because I wear adventure touring gear with padded jacket and pants. I wanted to make sure the rainsuit would cover all of those. It does. I'm 5-11 and 200 pounds. Excellent fit.So, my original plan was to try this cheap suit and then upgrade to a more expensive one. I see no reason to upgrade at this point. When summer arrives, I'll provide more feedback on if it keeps you cool while keeping you dry.

Good value, weird sizing
Bought this to keep in my motorcycle panniers as 'just in case' rain protection. Construction looks decent, top has zipper with a rain fly that snaps. Bottoms are elastic waist.Sizing: I'm 5' 11", 190lbs with 34" waist and bought the X-Large. The bottoms are kinda long for me, which is to be expected at x-large, but the waist is almost snug, it could probably expand out to 36 or 38 comfortably. Wearing loose fit/baggy type jeans, the bottoms are a little tight but not uncomfortable. The top is really not x-large, the arms are just about right for me, with the chest and hem fitting well. That's with a t-shirt.I guess I expected a rainsuit to be sized larger than the clothes it's meant to cover. The X-Large fits me decently, but if you're bigger than me or are going to wear thick coats, definitely get the xx-large.

Be aware of the size
I didn't use the product because I ordered a Large, but it was more like a skinny jeans fit. Keep in mind that I wore it over my regular pants. So I returned the item and re-ordered the XXL. I'm 5.9ft and 205 LBS pretty standerd I guess. I still gave it four stars because the product felt like it would keep me dry. The price is great for what you get. Also, I would just use it to commute, if you are looking for a hiking rainsuite you might want to look for something more breathable, it seems that this is not great for a hike (unless if you want to sweat a lot). For my purpose it seems to match well for the price!

READ THIS and you will do FINE
When you read these reviews and they all say buy larger. I want to make this point much clearer! Buy much larger! Way larger like 3 or 4X if you can. The quality is good, but they run so small, midgets have pretty much bought out all the larges.. :) You do the math on that one. I am normally a Large to XL. So I got 2xl LOL. I could sell the pants to an infant. The jacket is fine. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND getting 3X larger. After all it's just rain gear to keep you dry it's not a fashion statement. I would get another set at 3x XL but they do not sell it. So 2XL is good for 200 pounds or less. I need find a new supplier. or drop 30 pounds
