Almost one year and NOW not working
It was great in the beginning but after few months it started to disconnect from the laptop, it feels and looks sturdy , there's no visible damages and I kept it safe.BUT it just stopped working yesterday. I guess if you want short-term solution , its alright.

Useful iPad Pro accessory.
I bought this to transfer videos from my Osmo Pocket camera to my iPad Pro for editing. It works flawlessly once you set a few parameters first. Apple are very strict with file naming convention, so you will have to rename your videos (or photos) to be 8 characters long. I use the format xxx_yyyy, where xxx is a series of letters and yyyy is a series of numbers. You will also need the right directory structure on your SD or microSD card. You need to create a DCIM directory in the root, with a sub directory VIDEO and put the files here or the iPad won’t see the files.

Transfer files from SD card without wifi
Bought for an iPad mini 4. Does what it says on the tin, much cheaper than Apple product.Perfect for transferring photos from camera, especially when there is weak or no WiFi.Much faster way to transfer files.Because of Apple - files can be taken from camera to iPad, but not from iPad to card.

Highly recommended
Having a huawei mate 20 pro phone means no memory card unless you're willing to splash some money for the huawei memory card. This device makes saving photos so easy and definitely is a more cost effective option

Don’t bother.
Honestly, spend a little bit more and get something better. This is NOT worth it. Even when properly plugged in, it keeps connecting and I connecting from the computer constantly, which makes uploading anything between the two devices difficult. The smallest movement also sets it off.

It Works
Paid a lot of money for a genuine Apple item for my USB C iPad Pro and got this from Amazon as a backup. This works just as well as the expensive item. It is very quick to transfer pictures on the iPad Pro.

Seems ok
Didn't work on all phones, does work on my OnePlus if I turn on otg before connecting. It seems slow to recognise but once running it works well. Keep it in the car for dashcam footage review
