Bodum51oz Spare Carafe for French Press, High-Heat Borosilicate Glass

Not much to say about this as it's a replacement carafe but it fit perfectly after our original was accidentally broken.

The Frnech Press I have, was cracked and not knowing where to get a replacement Carafe, I turned to Amazone and voila there it was. When inserting it, becareful, it is a tight fit. You may have to loosen the metal band a little more and gentle push it down. I do not know if there are non Bodum Carafes are available, but I would not advise them. This is the one you want.

I was worried if I got the correct size. It is! I got the 1.5 L one. It fits my French press and is the exact one that I have now. Got it to have a back up just in case I break the original

The above headline says it all. They are fragile and stand no chance of surviving a fall to the kitchen floor or even inadvertent hard contact in the sink. So, care must be taken. Fortunately, these Bodum replacements are precision-made to fit as perfectly inside their stainless basket as the original. We've used Bodum French presses for years and, unfortunately, have confirmed the last sentence several times!

The carafe of my Bodum French press cracked unexpectedly after 20 years of very light use. I ordered just the carafe assuming I would simply insert it in the frame, which was in perfect condition. It didn’t and I returned it, and ordered the entire thing. I noticed that the plunge is much better than the old one. If you follow the basic rules of making French press coffee you’ll be very happy with this Bodum French press.

This carafe is a bit tight fitting in my French press, maybe I need to loosen with screwdriver

Given the price point, I recommend buying an entirely new press for a few $$ more if yours is old.

Easy to slip into the French press holder to replace a broken carafe. But wow, its pricey!
