Good idea but use a strong steel key to avoid bending the key
I found that these key turners can be very useful but it is better to use a steel key not a brass key. The user can exert enough force to bend a brass key or even break it off in the lock. If it's for a conventional Yale type key and you have a brass key then you can go to a lock shop and get another key cut in steel, which is much stronger. We bought one of these key turners for an elderly relative who had recently had a replacement front door fitted and couldn't unlock it. The replacement front door has a stiff lock mechanism and a Cisa cylinder lock with a security key.The first problem was that the Cisa key is 3.1 mm thick compared to 2.3 mm for a typical Yale type key so the key was a tight fit in the key turner and it didn't swivel freely. I filed out the slot in the key turner to make the key to fit and swivel freely. The second problem was that the Cisa key goes into the lock horizontally instead of vertically. The key turner was designed for a vertical key so it needed to be used on its side. This makes the key more difficult to insert and it also makes it easier for the user to bend the key when using the key turner. The Cisa key is made of brass and it bends easily when used with the key turner. Steel keys of this type do not appear to be available however. Although our relative doesn't have much strength in her hand, the key turner allowed her to exert enough force to bend the brass key and break it off in the lock. Fortunately, we were able to extract the broken piece of key from the lock and we also had a spare key available at a nearby address. Otherwise, it would have been necessary to call an emergency locksmith to drill out a brand new Cisa lock cylinder. The design of this key turner could be improved if it swivels in two directions to avoid bending the key. It would also be useful if it could cater for slightly thicker keys (3.1 mm) and keys that go in sideways instead of vertically.

Jey turner that doea what it says and at a great price
Good price for the item and arrived quickly. It is well made and the bright colour makes it easy to find. The only aspect I'm not to find of is the size of the item. I was expecting something less 'bulky'. I know it needs to be a good size to help failing hands and fingers, but for me was just too big. But this may be a great advantage to other people.

Handy key turner
Item arrived quickly, easy to open packaging, unfortunately when I attached my patio door key to my key turner there was no room to turn the key as it was too near the door frame, perhaps they should give the measurements of this item so people can measure the space around the key hole to see if it will fit. I gave this item to a friend and it did fit her door and worked perfectly.

Now I can get into my house
The key turner is quite bulky and looks a bit strange, but boy does it do the job ! no more fretting about will I be able to turn the key in my door. I have quite stiff hands but this was easy to hold an worked first time. It is also easy to locate in my bag as it is chunky. Delivery was nice and quick and well packaged. Would recommend to anyone with grip problems.

Beware before you buy.
Beware. If the item is not suitable for intended use you have to pay the return postage. Having to pay the return postage was not made known when I bought the item.

Great result
Bought for my elderly mother to assist her in opening the front door due to weak wrist. It was perfect and did exactly what it was meant to do, plus it allowed her to always locate her keys due to colour and size.A good aid for the elderly or anyone who has weak wrists.

Disappointed
On first glance everything seemed fine until I tried to put a key onto the holder. It didn't fit. My key has a square top with a rectangular hole that the screw didn't fit through. I went to a key cutter who adapted the key to fit and I was able to thread it onto the turner. Then I discovered that the key wouldn't fold down out of the way. Once again it was because of the shape of my key. This turner is ONLY designed to be used with a round ended key with a round hole. It is being used for it's purpose but it's by no means ideal.
