Anchors Hair Company Courage Clay - Natural Vegan Hair Clay (2.3 Oz)

There have been some mixed reviews about what this actually smells like, so I had no idea when purchasing what i'd be getting but figured i'd give it a shot. To my nose, this has a sugary, candy-like aroma that is not entirely unpleasant but definitely not something I want to smell like. Unfortunately this is a deal breaker for me, regardless of the quality of the product itself. If you don't mind a bold, sweet scent that may stick with you all day, then this might be up your alley; if you're looking for something more low-key, probably not a safe bet.

Wow.. it’s the second clay pomade i tried, i got the 2oz so it came in a cute as small tub haha and when i scooped it i was skeptical cus like the other one it’s creammy but it becomes tacky and it end up hardening in a good way. Used it on today on a casual day and Basically it holds and my hair has waves. (Im a woman and i get my hair in a bun and my top is cropped in bangs so i like to comb in back but con flat or sleek and when i recome it them bangs fall down nicely) Aniways The smell!! It smells good! Like arroz con leche or a soft vanilla smell my mom said it smelled like canela/cinamon. +it says it’s vegan so maybe it’s better then the other clay idk. i like it so I’ll see if i order the bigger tub later on.

I saw a few reviews on youtube about this product and I knew I needed to try it. As a guy with thick wavy hair, I had high hopes and I am happy to report that this product did not disappoint. It is so smooth and creamy to apply to my hair and it gives a slight shine. After about 5 minutes, I rerun my hands through my hair and it gets rid of the shine and I am left with a matte, controlled look. I absolutely love this product. The only con is that the scent is a bit too much at times like vanilla tobacco, but it does go away about 30 minutes after application. I bought the travel size but I already have the full size in my cart!

overall i think this is a quality product, and works pretty well.HOWEVER. i should have paid closer attention to the ingredients, because i was looking for a true clay product.you would think a product named "courage clay" would have CLAY as a MAIN ingredient."silly me" or "misleading advertising"...you be the judge.after i used it, i noticed that it wasn't really looking or feeling like other clays i have tried, so i looked at the ingredient list. well.....clay is like the 10th ingredient (out of like 17)so no wonder it wasn't really behaving like a "clay", because the is not much in it.

I've used this product for two weeks now and here is my true feeling. My biggest complaint is the hold. I have rigid hair and this product doesn't hold really well. I've tried many ways. The only way to get the strongest hold for me is to damp my hair first, apply the product, let my hair air dry, then apply a small amount of the product again. I really wish this company could make a product with a stronger hold. The product is also very easy to come off with hot water.In terms of the smell, this product may have the best smell so far. It is not overpowering but it lasts super long, sometimes in a bad way. I can smell my hair when I walk in the wind, and I can still smell my hair after I wash my hair twice with shampoo. It is not a terrible smell but it sticks to my hair in a scary way.

Would give 4.5 if I could. I am going with 5 stars because the cons are just small things and I really like the way this product works with my hair..Pros:I have dense but fine hair and this product definitely adds some volume with good hold. It does this without making my hair stiff and unmanageable.Cons:The smell is okay, I would prefer a "manly sent" as opposed to butter cookies. I also don't really care of the courage brand/theme where you write something on the container. I wouldn't do that but I image someone might be into it. I do like the color of the product and the pirate ship imagery. I hope they lean into that more than the courage bit.

I have been waiting to get my hands on this product since December of 2017. The good news is that now I have used this hair product since May and so far in regards to using the product on longer hair it works but it holds up my hair up to seven hours but in shorter to medium length hair it works so well on my thick straight hair for about twelve to thirteen hours . The only negative that I do not like about the product is the smell is a bit overpowering. The positives are that the product is easy to emulsify in the hands because it is really soft and creamy, the product starts to take control after applying to the hair, and not only that it actually is a matte finish for sure. Another feature that I like about this product is how soft it is after having it in for a number of hours and how easy it is to wash out of the hair. I would highly recommend this product for someone who wants a softer clay that actually has a high hold and a matte finish.

I genuinely love using this product. So much so that almost every morning for the past month, I’ve kept telling myself I need to leave a review.I have been on the search for a high quality, cruelty free hair clay that was on par in quality to more popular products. This one takes the cake.The hold and finish are wonderful. Strong, easy to use, doesn’t make a mess, easy to wash off hands, adds density to hair and a nice matte finish.I love the scent as well. I don’t find it as strong as others have suggested. You will smell it for the first hour or so of your day, which I consider a bonus, then it becomes unnoticeable.

Good clay but not really worth the money

Es lo que estaba buscando. Una cera natural de arcilla con base de agua. No engrasa el pelo . Se queda moldeable y con aspecto natural. Se diluye con el agua y desaparece fácilmente . Es muy ligera. Muy recomendable. Por poner un pero creo que le sobra el colorante para darle el color azul verdoso.Por cierto el producto lleva si existencias desde que lo compré . Me gustaría saber cuándo estará disponible.
