LaserWorks LW1000PRO Professional-Class Laser Rangefinder for Hunting and Golf,Fog Measurement,Waterproof Rangefinder

I was very impressed with this model. I paid twice the price for my last rangefinder at Bass Pro (which my dog ate) and it was not as good.The written instructions that come with it are a bit brief. You might have to play around with the settings a bit. Points of note:1 - it is automatically in Meters - so if you are in the US using it for hunting (or golf for that matter) make sure to switch it to yards.2 - On the last page of the short instructions it tells you how to work out your auto settings. This is important so make sure to do it. Once that is done it is very easy to use. Just a two button function.3 - It automatically turns off after about 15 seconds, which is awesome for saving battery.4 - It correctly works as a range finder (mine gives accurate yardage).5 - It does have an angle function for bow or crossbow hunters shooting from stands (which I have found is unusual to find in a rangefinder of this price range)Edit - I did move this from 5 stars to 4 stars after having used it in the field with a crossbow this year. it is still a great product for the price. However if you are willing to spend quite a bit more, some of the more expensive rangefinders have better operation in low light. My scope for my crossbow (standard scope - not lit) is visible and usable earlier and later (in lower light) then this rangefinder. This is not a huge thing but this rangefinder is not very usable at dusk or right after sun up where you still do have a legal shot but light conditions are low.

For the price it's a pretty decent rangefinder. Has more features then higher prices units. Ranging is accurate, haven't stretched it's legs yet but 3 to 4 hundred yards no problem. My only complaint is the eye relief is non-existent, your eyeball is basically touching the lens. Glass isn't super clear which I totally expected so using at dawn and dusk on targets far away might be challenging to see. But during the day with adequate sunlight isn't a problem. All in all I'm happy with this purchase. All the other positive reviews aren't exaggerating, I only gave 4 star because of the eye relief.

Quick acquisition time and fairly accurate at short to medium ranges. The unit has a bunch of very helpful features, sizing for height angle, speed in KPH, MPH and other great features. Only cons is speed measuring of vehicles is slow and only works in the day, at night headlights will not allow IR laser lockon. As a speed measuring tool it is poor to average in accuracy and speed. For range measurement it works very well and can display both Meters and Yards. Overall it is a good product but expect accuracy only up to 700 Yards on highly reflective targets assuming no motion of the rangefinder.

I was hunting in western Kansas and got this baby ranging a bright rock face at 954 yards. I spent an hour ranging different objects at ranges 600-800 yards. Only suggestion I have is the plastic housing. It needs a rubberized type outer layer to reduce noise and protect. For the money great value, would recommend.

Works great. I use the golf flag pole feature in the woods because it easily picks out popal whips so distance readings are consistant. Very light unit and easy to use. Many useful features for bow hunters like inclination.

I did not leave a review for this product for 6 month's because I really wanted to give it a honest review. all I can say is that you can not go wrong with buying this product. I have compared it to my friends high dollar range finders and this one out preformed them all.

This works great. I wasn't sure about it when I looked at it because of the cost but it will range out to 1200 yards no problem. I have had it in the field two hunts and works great. I used it on my deer hunt and it ranged my deer at 550 yards and it was right on I was able to make a great shot.

My uncle has wanted this item for a long time but it was so expensive elsewhere. So his birthday was nearing and I ordered thisfrom Amazon at a reasonable price. It does a lot more things than he knew and he is so proud of it. He loves it and 4 of the men he works with have ordered these too
