Nu Bone Ii Handcrafted Detangling Comb

This is a nice comb. It is stiff and feels substantial in my hand. It doesn't feel at all flimsy to me, as other reviews mentioned. The biggest plus is NO STATIC.

I'd been looking for one of these everywhere! So glad I finally found one. For some reason, some beauty supply stores seem to think orange PLASTIC combs are the same this as a bone comb...go figure!

I purchased this comb for my daughter, as she has curly hair and I was facing problems with tangles and the whole procedure was painstaking.To be honest it was a bit of a blind choice, but nevertheless I chose it due to the wide teeth of it.The result was quite good, as for the first time I managed to comb and De-tangle my daughter's hair without much effort and without breaking/damaging them. Moreover, as time passed the hair and the combing became better. I also gave it to my sister-in-law (long wavy hair) and she also was satisfied.It is a good choice. Recommended.

Not quite what I had in mind. The comb in plastic...possibly I didn't read through the description thoroughly prior to buying. Not impressed with the detangling aspect either. Feels like I'm raking a loud hair clip through my hair.

I LOVE this comb! I was a bit concerned by a couple of the "cheaply made" comments, but I was very happy once I actually used the comb. It is truly seamless. It is lightweight, and as others have mentioned, the teeth are a bit pointy. If you have a sensitive scalp or if you have a heavy hand, you'll want to be aware of that. The comb glides through my hair, and I have tightly curled afro hair that typically tangles very easily. I am very excited about using this comb on wash day, as I like to comb my hair while it's damp. However, I can also comb my dry (stretched) afro hair with ease, which is something that I typically cannot do. I have purchased combs of a similar color that were referred to as "bone combs", but they do not measure up, as they are cheap plastic combs with seams that can be damaging to the hair. Don't be afraid to try it. I think you'll like it!

I dislike that it can be a bit on the sharper side. but its good quality hand made. I like it even though I thought I was buying something else.

The first disappointing thing that struck me was how cheap this comb was in appearance and feel. I expected a better build quality for a "hand crafted" expensive comb. I was further disappointed in how much hair loss I experienced using this comb I expect some shedding in the detangling process. However, there are several rough spots on the comb which caught my hair and thus the ripping. This experience has taught me that just because something is the same color as what you intended to purchase and uses similar verbiage in their ad, it doesn't mean that it is the same quality. Lesson learned. I purchased a different brand to use as a main detangler instead.
