This is exactly what you think. It keeps your pencil cap safe from getting lost but doesn't get in the way of use. It is very easy to put on but doesn't slip off even with heavy use of the pencil. It glows in the dark which is nice if you were to drop your pencil in the dark, have it roll under the bed, etc etc. (I got pink and it does also glow). The charging attachment holder is equally awesome and keeps your charging adapter easily accessible without getting in the way.
