THIS STUFF ACTUALLY WORKS!I am adult with acne since early teens, it runs in the family and so far Doctors had been unable to find something to really make a dent in it.I tried lots of tablets, creams etc.So I decided to try finding new solutions on my own.I had a SUPER BAD break out just before this arrived, so I immediately started using it, baptism of fire for this product having to follow up one of my worst breakouts in years.FIRST:You need to use it totally consistently, do what it says on the tub!Wash your face properly twice a day, exfoliate your skin first.Make sure your hands are totally clean when you apply itPut it on your skin immediately after it's dry after washing, don't put anything else on first.It will dry your skin, don't get it in your eyes or anything, it smells quite strongly so I'm sure it stings.I moisturise a while afterwards to help with the drying, also make sure your moisturiser isn't causing break outs as some do.Also look at your make up if you wear any, I'd recommend going without for a few weeks to give this a proper test. Make up often contributes to skin problems.It may take a few weeks to notice the difference, stick at it, consistency is the key.I haven't changed anything else, my skin care, medication, diet and lifestyle have all remained the same since before I've just added this product in twice a day as instructed.And my skin is A LOT better, just from adding this to my life.It took a while to work, need to be totally consistent but now I am...my acne is practically gone, after more than 10 years of really no let up in it at all.I've gone from getting several large spots a day to none for weeks, and when I do get them I know why: I messed up taking my tablets or I ate dairy (p.s. dairy causes acne, get it gone) or eat tons of sugar (affects your hormones, contributes to acne),I didn't wash my face properly, forgot to use it...But even then I only get 1 or 2 really tiny spots, if any, sometimes I just get small red marks that don't do anything at all and then disappear.Also my scars are fading faster than they ever did before, about a month in I started noticing, my scars are disappearing really quickly which is amazing!p.s Acne sufferers, get dairy out of your diet too.This is not some paid review or anything, although if they want to send me some for free I wouldn't say no ;)This could be the start of your acne-free life, so try it.UPDATE: 7 weeks exactly since I first started using this stuff.Still working, amazing.

I've been reading reviews in the lower star category just curious to their reasons. What I have found is that people have a fundamental misunderstanding of their skin and the product.1. If you have acne it's not always because you have oily skin. Dry skin can still get acne breakouts due to hormones. A way to test your skin is to not use any products for 48 hours and look at your skin, if it's shiny and greasy everywhere you have oily skin, if it's dry tight and flaking you have dry skin and if you have both you have combination skin.2. People are expecting this cream to work immediately or after a few days. That's not how skin works, it can take a month for your skincare product to take effect as the skin sheds only once a month. A breakout will still happen, that's not the products fault it's your hormones. Keep using it for a minimum of three months to see how your skin is changing. It's not about preventing s breakout actually look at your skin during a breakout, if you're getting less spots then it's working if the frequency and amount gets worse then it's not working for you.3. People are thinking this is a moisturiser and it's not. It's an exfoliant which is designed to take off excess oils and get into the pores and kill bacteria, regardless of you are only or dry you NEED to moisturiser afterwards. If you don't you will be effectively making the skin produce more oils than it did before to combat the creams drying effect. If you use a moisturiser and maybe an oil like jojoba oil, you should be fine.4. This is a max strength cream, there is a weaker one available if you don't have a lot of break out.5. This is NOT for sensitive skin, this will react to not sensitive skin and make it a bit irritated because it is killing all the bacteria on the face good and bad. If you have sensitive skin this will trigger it. You can try using the lower strength one but if that's no good then glycolic acid would be better to use.6. People are using it too much. Again this comes down to people not understanding their skin type. If you're really oily and have very bad acne then twice a day is good for you. If you have breakouts only once a month or so then only use it twice a day during a breakout. After that once a day max is more then enough, and if you don't get breakouts that much then three times a week should be sufficient.7. This product is good at exfoliating but it's still a cream, and you need to use a micro exfoliant to basically get the dead skin and excess product off, this needs to be done at least once a week but no more than twice a week for dry and normal skin and maybe three times a week for oily skin.And finally you don't need to use this cream everywhere. You can use it on the areas toy break out on and maybe do the other areas once or twice a week or something.I hope this helps people understand this product a bit better.

My recent skin routine changes include *not* using body lotion as a facial moisturiser, cutting out mechanical exfoliation, drinking a lot more water, drinking lemon and hot water daily, using actual face moisturiser for dry areas, using enzyme exfoliator twice weekly *and* using this product. Results after four weeks: healthier complexion, almost eliminated red blemishes on cheek bones and dry, flaking skin around the nostrils, nose tip and cheeks, much reduced large blackheads around jaw line, much reduced oilynes over the course of a day, much fewer painful under-the-skin spots. My face looks overall more glowy, other features such as eyes and eyebrows stand out much more in my clearer face. Although I've incorperated a lot of changes into my skincare routine, I really feel that this product has played the most integral part, with increased water intake coming in second. Although the product can feel quite drying in a way, following a face wash with warm water, the application of this product eliminates the tight itchy feeling of dry skin that I would otherwise get; I often skip the face moisturiser as I will only use that on exceptionally dry areas now. Im only giving this 4 stars as is hasn't really reduced those small all-over blackheads on my nose as I was hoping; I'm hoping I won't have to resort to mechanical exfoliation again as I think that was causing a lot of the flaky skin issues.
