These are exactly what I was looking for a change of pace from traditional solar lights. I am juat not a fan of most walkway solar lights as they are just ugly. I wanted to purchase some lantern style lights that hand from miniature shepherd hooks. Well this is one time in glad my wife changed my mind. I would venture to say tha t any bad reviews for this product didn't have reasonable expectations and were probably thinking these put out alot more light. These aren't designed to be the brightest lights so if your looking for something to safely light up a walk way this may not be the lights for u or order double what your thinking. These are more decrative and look like a more upscale lighting options. The price point on these is unreal for basically 2$ per light it's crazy how nice these are. They put off a really cool looking pattern and are very stable in the ground. I'm thinking of buying abother set to finish the other 2 walk ways we have. The front came out very nice and my wife loved them and noticed then firat thing when arriving home. Mine were pre charged which was nice to atleast be able to test and make sure your not installing a bad light. If i were driving past a house had had these I would think they cost prob 3x what they do from a distance they look like they are made from metel and not plastic. Overall they are just a different type of light. Unique design and pattern, very affordable and sturdy. My favorite solar lights I've ever purchased and if u knew me that's saying something as I've prob tried every type ever made. Time will be the true test but ifnu keep some rechargeable batteries on hand id imagine that would solve the problem.

So, first let me start off with I don’t like to write reviews when I first get something. Every time I’ve done that in the past, something happened with it whether it ended up breaking, stopped working, etc. When I first receive these 4 worked out of 16. I did everything they suggested & they still didn’t work. I realized that maybe the batteries that came with them may not be good. So, I ordered new batteries and what do you know they worked!!!!I love them and the only reason I didn’t give it a 5 ⭐️ was because the batteries that came with them didn’t work.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I will never buy or recommend theses lights again. We bought them for a landscaping project we were doing and had sixteen lights that we planned on using. Upon putting them out and allowing them to charge in the sun we were excited to see what they would look like. To say the least were are very, very disappointed in the results. Bin addition to them being very faint, only 3 out of 16 lights actually worked. If I could return them I would because this was a total waste of my money. I hope you all are happy with spending my money because you certainly did not earn it. Your lights suck and I suggest that anyone looking to buy them thinks twice after reading this review!!! Lou

I read every review on here both good and bad. Both boxes arrived and I started assembling. Very basic and easy. Yes parts are plastic and can break. So what, because I just used a screwdriver and hammer to make my holes in hard clay with rocks....problem solved. Not a single one broke. Many people said a lot of them didn't work. This was my biggest issue when I was trying to decide to buy them or not. I am the worst about returning things and most of the time stuff I should have returned just collects dust so I try to be selective. I opened and installed my first box of 8. They all lit perfect and look great. I love these lights because they honestly looked better than expected to me. Next box opened 5 duds in a row and then 3 that worked like they were supposed to. Although I also noticed that the switches on all 5 duds were already turned to the "on" position. They are supposed to ship with a charge and in "off" position so it lights immediately. I said to myself I bet they charge tomorrow in the sunlight. I bet they are just dead because someone at the factory messed up. End of story.......all 16 work perfect and I just ordered 8 more.. Also if your falls apart from pushing to hard into the ground. Everything's pops back into place very easily. I did this on one of mine so I took it apart real quick. Super easy to pop anything that might come apart back together.

Bought these about 7 months ago and am happy to report all continue to work. With solar anything, it always seems to be hit or miss, so the fact they still light is a very good sign. Tis true, they are plastic, however, in this instance I think that is an advantage. They won't rust and so far haven't faded or cracked, and have managed to survive several vicious storms.But the real difference between these little solar lights and others is the lattice cut design. When they light up, they create this very attractive geometric pattern that looks very classy from afar. I have had others that cast a star burst pattern which also looked pretty cool, but these are far better, in my opinion.Installation was fairly standard, nothing tricky, and they include two different height stakes. One allows them to sit at ground height and the other raises them maybe 4" above. The higher version probably allows for more of that lattice pattern to spread out and that is how I have them.They aren't super bright, but they do provide enough light to guide you safely up a driveway or sidewalk.All in all, they are a smidge pricey for plastic lights, but the solar panel seems pretty effective and the overall effect is worth it, I believe.
