Manna Pro 0502035355 Ready-to-Use Poultry Protector for Birds, 16-Ounce

I love manna pro poultry protector. Its an excellent product, is non toxic and does the job on chicken mites and lice. Its so gentle yet effective. I even sprayed 3 day old chicks with it and they were fine. I dont like using harsh chemicals on my flock so poultry protector and DE is all i use. PROBLEM AND ISSUE is I’ve received the bottles ive ordered and theyre leaking all over the box so the bottles are not full. Company needs to figure out a way to secure the tops on better to prevent leaks during shipment because i really like this product but hate receiving half filled bottles .

I rarely leave reviews, but this Mana Pro Poultry Protector saved my sweet hen that was caught up in the vicious life cycle of poultry mites. She had lost tail and flank feathers, stopped laying, and was starting to look anemic. (Dust bathing with sand and DE did not get the job done for her.) I sprayed her thoroughly under her wings and back which were most affected. Let the product sit for a couple of hours and then blow-dried her since the sun wasn’t out and she was chilled. In 2 days she was laying again and her comb and waddles returned to a vibrant red. I checked her on day 2 and 3 to make sure I got all the mites and eggs. It definitely worked for me. Grateful this is not a pesticide and that it worked so well. I wish I understood the mechanism behind how it gets the job done, but I’m too satisfied that it worked to let that bother me much. I do think the Prime price was a bit steep, but overall it was worth it.

My chicken got red mites and so I bought 2 bottles of Poultry Protector. It's great and kills the mites it comes into direct contact with. I drenched my hen and sprayed her house and surrounding area and it has reduced the problem. It is not harmful and has no bad smell, as it is mostly citric acid. My friends and I joke that Raptor has now officially been a citrus-marinated chicken!Just be careful when opening. The bottles came sealed in shrink-wrapped plastic. The lids to both bottles were barely screwed on. One bottle was loose enough that some of the liquid escaped through a small hole in the shrink wrap and soaked part of my amazon box and the other's lid fell completely off when I was removing the wrap (I was holding it sideways) and a quarter of the contents went to the floor.

Im new to poultry and found bugs on my girl, she's the absolute sweetest chicken so I really wanted to respond quickly. I cannot identify if they were louse or mites but one squirt and you'd see the bugs collapse and die. One spray down did not completely eradicate the problem but im spraying her every other day. We're making progress.

Using this product is part of my coop cleaning routine. We did have red mites a few summers back and it was horrible. We did a deep clean and started using this product and diatomaceous earth. Havent had a problen since. We only sprayed the girls during the infestation. I highly suggest everyone do a deep clean once a year at least in your coop. I do it during august so i can wash it out with water and it trys fast during a hot day. Its not fun but needs to be done for the health of your birds.

I like this. It was good. Through use a mask because the smell is very strong. This is not worth the money. I sprayed my chicken small coop as it instructed and one chicken and it ran out. I had to leave 3 other chickens without it. Really need this I suggest you buy more that one.
