Q: the size chart for this item is for gloves and womens outerwear, can you please fix this ?

MED=7 1/8, LARGE=7 3/8 AND XL=7 5/8. I ordered Large for me and my 18 yr old son this summer. We both have what I would consider "average" size heads. Excellent Hat!

Q: how wide is the brim? inches?

mine is 2.75" wide brim all the way around

Q: how do you guys wash your hats? im not sure the best way to wash it

I hand wash mine with dish soap in a bucket. They can also be cleaned in a washing machine on gentle cycle and air dried. The only issue I have found with using the washing machine is it puts more wrinkles in the hat, so you have to take extra time flat drying it. This is more of an issue with a top loader than with a front load tumble type washer.

Good sun protection

Hat is a good fit. It does what it's meant to do although would not get any compliments at Ascot! I do a lot of gardening and just need it to protect me from the sun. Perfect for this.
