I’m a guy and have been searching for a pair of workout shorts that are well made, comfortable and don’t cost a fortune. I like the Virus shorts but they’re just too expensive. I can’t justify spending almost triple the price of these pants for those name brand shorts hen these are great.The main selling point for me is the zippered pockets! I absolutely needed zippered pockets and these are just perfect for me! Note that there’s no back pockets.I also bought CA’s pants and loved those as well. Similarly, my only issue (not worth removing a star) is a size chart. I reached out to the seller Amcrest Direct and they said they will add one but never did. I believe that is because, while I also reached out to Contour Athletics directly on their Facebook page, they said they do not even have a size chart available. Can you believe that? No size chart! I was baffled... So, this issue isn’t on Amcrest Direct. I ended up buying two different sizes (Large and X-Large) and returning the one that fit the least well.I measured my waist and I’m at 38 and I’ve got a huge butt, so the large was the best fitting for me. I also got the extra large but it was too big in the legs as in, my butt didn’t look good so I sent those back.The material in these shorts are different from the pants. These seem to just dry faster while the pants, they’re mostly cotton so while they breathe well, you will have sweat in your butt crack for longer than you want. Not with these shorts!A word of caution. As others have mentioned, the pull cord is sturdy with nice solid metal ends to tighten and loosen the pants but it is rather short which is both good and bad. Good because it doesn’t get in the way if you don’t like to tie them together but bad if you pull the waist too far out to get some air in your pants after an intense workout or just when taking them off or maybe in the washer or dryer, you’ll lose one of them inside the pants and it’s frustrating to get out. It’s like losing the pull cord in a hoodie; super annoying to thread it through cm by cm. I have tied a knot on the ends of mine to avoid the problem altogether.Overall, I love these shorts and I’m going to buy more pairs. They’re well worth it for the price.

The Contour Athletics Roman shorts are a great all purpose short that have many great features. First, these shorts are a more lightweight short compared to the hydrafit. The Nylon and spandex make for a great feel that is flexible yet durable. They are not as thick however compared to the hydrafit shorts. The zipper pockets make you feel secure about any items in your pocket while working out or running. Also I am a 30" waist and got the small and they fit perfectly. I love the 7 inch inseam as well it is the perfect length. I would say for running I prefer these to the hydrafit but not for lifting as they are a little thinner than I would like. But overall a great product. Would recommend!

I have worn these pants a lot since I have received them. I have enjoyed how stretchy the material is and the way it feels. It is not am irritating feeling as it runs on the skin, it is actually really soft for being synthetic. I am currently dog sitting for family, a German Shepherd, he is currently shedding a lot but dog hair does not stick. With a couple of brushes and pays, all the hair falls right off the shorts.As a triathlete working out in comfortable clothes is a must or else you will be miserable. I started my workout with a 7 mile bike ride on the stationary bike and was impressed that it did not restrict my movements due to the short length. It actually stretched and kept my motion very fluid. After my cycle I ran 2 miles and the shorts also did well. They did flair upward or crawl up my leg as I ran. They didn't build static and cling to my thigh or groin area. Then after my initial Triathlon training I lifted weights. They did not bring up near the ground as I did any bending or laid on the flat bench. When laying on the floor to do abs they didn't roll up either.I am actually very impressed with the shorts and will probably buy another one in a different color with the rebate money. They are top quality and excellent for working out in or conditioning for a race of any sort.

PROS:1. Material is very nice, soft fabric and non-stickya. Even with sweaty legs, the material does not stock to your legs AT ALL!!2. Zipper bags;3. Perfect lengtha. Long/short enough to look/feel good and still not get in the way of my squats4. Color was very nice;5. Size was a perfect fita. I wear size 36 jeans and the Large fit just rightCONS:1. Drawstringa. Can maybe be a bit longer OR holes it comes out of smaller/tighteri. First thing I did when I got them was stretched them out to see how elastic they were and then had to work on getting the drawstring out of the holes again…ended up tying large notes at the end of each side to hopefully avoid this in the future2. Built-in underweara. Very personal preference but I like the tight feel of these as I am working out and for as silly as it sounds, it’s one less item I have to remember to pack every day…haha.

When I go running the pockets are loose and the phone ends up on the outside of the shorts sometimes when I'm running. Great for lifting at the gym, not so much for you phone smashing into your leg while running.
