The Berenstain Bears and the Mama's Day Surprise

My daughter was very upset that we didn't have a book to read for Mother's Day so we purchased this book and we will read it every year on Mother's Day until she gets older. It is a great story and exactly what you would expect from the Berenstain Bears.

Brought this over to my grandkids yesterday and I read it the first time through. Then my 8 year granddaughter read it to me; her 5 year old sister then read it to the both of us (sort of).

I love the Berenstain Bears books but this book is really sexist. I had to tear out pages and white-out parts because I don't want my boys thinking that it's acceptable to have their mother think she'll need to clean up after them for HER Mother's Day surprise.

Granddaughter loves these books and I read one every morning to her. She is quick to let me know which ones she still needs for her collection.

Good for reading out to kids. My 5 yr old really likes the story.
