Just in case
I'm a wild camper and hear too many stories about people being caught short in changing weather conditions. This always seems to be hampered by visibility and the inability to locate those lost. I don't take chances let alone with my own life. Well worth the money for a protective environment that has the ability to save one's life. I hope I never have to use it but if I do I've invested a small amount to keep me safe. The delivery time was a lot quicker than that stated. I would not only recommend but suggest you watch the YouTube videos on their use and endorsements. This is on the DoE list of recommended kit to take on a trip that's enough for me to go by.

First and positive use.
Well after having this item for two years I finally needed it last weekend during our brief but heavy weekend of snow. Broke down on the A1M at 9pm. It was bitterly cold but with the addition of small foam pads to sit on, a flask of hot chocolate and sleeping bag for the other half to get her legs into we were very warm and it was very noticable how much warmer it was inside the shelter than it was outside.I decided to go Vango instead of BOTHY as it just seemed better made; it didn't let us down. The two of us were rescued within an hour which may not be a full test but we did discuss its size. For two of us it was warm but with one window, I had to take it off just a couple of times to make sure the window was facing the road and that we could see clearly through it. On a mountain I don't think having to have a window in the right place is going to be an issue. It would have, perhaps, been easier to manipulate and get comfortable within it had we had a 400 but this will mean a greater area to get warmed up with just two. We've decided in any case to get a 400 for the two of us. We also carry the 200 on the m/cycle just in case. In the family car capable of holding 7 I already have a Vango 800.The attached stuff sack forms the ventilation shaft when in the open position but is difficult to locate once inside and its not self opening which meant having to secure it open by hand but that's a common trend among all shelters I've seen. I'm considering installing a small Prym Eyelet in the centre of the mesh. This will not only maintain integrity but also allow a ski pole or something similar to be used to assist in keeping the ventilation shaft functional. Before i pack it away it will be going through a re-waterproof as a precaution.I hope my review has helped and if you have any questions, please ask.
