This was a good service of them and very expensive
The seller.Initially the seller forgot to ship the order. After this was discovered after the seller, GoldSunPower, quickly corrected it by sending the unit by airmail! This was a good service of them and very expensive. Unfortunately the package was addressed to another person but came to my address. Communication with GoldSunPower was quickly and correct and in this sense I am pleased with them. After receiving the unit I had a dispute with the seller regarding the size/power of the unit: the weight of the unit, and the number of internal cooling fans comply to the specifications of a 3 kW unit. Seller, however, repeatedly declared that the unit, I received, is a 4 kW unit, but there is no possibility to check it, and I seriously question it because of the variations in specifications. A simple printed paper label, afterwards put on the unit, is the only reference.Buyers can't trust the given mechanical specifications! The product. The unit is well constructed. Since I'm a electro-mechanical engineer, with many years of experience in manufacturing similar type of devices, I can tell that the unit is made with modern production concepts. The electrical circuits are well made and mechanically well fitted. In this sense I'm positively surprised. The connections and some set points are at the bottom of the unit (when installed on the wall). This forces you to put the fairly high on the wall, (150 cm, or more) otherwise it is difficult to connect the cables and to adjust settings. Once installed to the wall, it is impossible to read the printing at the bottom. The manual is clear and so far seems to be complete. The interface display gives adequate information. One reading I like to see changed it the power factor. (the percentage of power provided) I prefer to see a reading in kW power, rather than a percentage of the rating.Performance.It is important to realize that the power per phase is limited to half of the unit capacity. For a 4 kW unit this is 2 kW per phase. After connecting the battery bank, the unit functions as expected. So far I have no complaints. I'm preparing to do performance power tests, to clarify whether or not, the unit I received, is a 4 kW unit. I plan to update this review in the future.I didn't (yet) connect solar panels and can't give any experience. At this moment, running the unit for 3 weeks, I certainly would buy a similar unit again in the future, but I recommend that seller/manufacturer provide better ways to check the rating of the units, and uplift their business to ISO standards.update 20161010: the unit is definite a 3 kW unit. Measurements confirm it.update 20211003: The battery charge has died. ( not the solar charge) And I discovered that the unit doesn't work well anymore: it goes in overload without ANY load connected. It worked well for app. 300 hours that's all in 6 years. But it was stand-by all that time.
