Quite sporty, extremely comfortable, and functional to boot...
Quite sporty, extremely comfortable, and functional to boot... plus one kicker that ultra enlightening.I originally order one of these after having a similar KingBike model over the past two years. I received my order promptly, but had an issue with one of the interior helmet straps. I contacted the seller, who was super prompt, super accommodating, and seemingly genuinely concerned over the issue I had encountered. The Seller requested photos of the helmet, which I provided with equal promptness and the next day was pleasantly surprised to see a replacement was in order. I really couldn't heap enough praise unto the Seller and their response given how smartly this matter was handled, as after many fruitful experiences on Amazon, I have very rarely had to have an item replaced or returned. Still, it's certainly refreshing to be attended to with such professionalism, alacrity, and whether it is feigned or not, a feeling of genuine concern on my behalf. My hat is off to them, and I was truly grateful for all of their assistance attending to something I'm sure nobody wishes to deal with.As for the helmet itself... there are a few things I especially like about this helmet over my old KingBike model.1. The wind shield has two positions... the higher setting resting above chin level, while the lower more at chin level. This is important for me, as I ride an electric bike and need as much wind deflection off of my face as possible at higher speeds. I use the lower setting exclusively when zipping around at 20 mph, while the higher position when I am more joyriding around as an admirer of the scenery.2. My KingBike had snap/buckle connectors and could not reverse up over the helmet when not in use. This model has magnetic attachments and are very slick, allowing you to reverse and sweep back over the top/front of the helmet if you aren't requiring it's use. So, now trying to figure out where to put your visor and how to stow it without scratching it up against something in or out of your saddlebag is a non-issue.3. Probably the most benefit for me personally, and an absolute key selling point is... you can buy spare, different tinted visors. I ride my bike 7 days a week and 5 of those to and from work everyday. I ride in intense sunlight (Phoenix) and nearly complete blackness during my daily jaunts over the alternating solstices. During the summer, it's nearly blinding, so naturally I uses the darkest tint offered. Normal days/visibility I use the clear visor. But the real beauty is for those three months in the morning when I ride in almost complete blackness or very dim light... the yellow visor is ridiculous in how much it improves your visibility! I ride with an array of bike lights which I'm sure makes me look like a UFO wandering through the abyss, but even then with just a clear visor you can get into trouble at times. Not so with these yellow visors... they really punch up the clarity and definition of your surroundings to the point it's almost other-worldly. Super cool visually, and quite good a making you appreciate a safety aspect this tint offers. I ordered 2 pair of each tint... and that's because I put a cool 7,000 - 8,000 miles on my bike per year and encounter all kinds of flying objects along my sojourns... so scratching at some point in your line of sight is gonna happen. My old KingBike only gave you the option of one visor, and a replacements were not to be had as the buckle versions were discontinued.4. Lastly is the neat little light on the rear of this helmet... I wish my old KingBike would've had this option. This rear light has various flash/strobe settings, is USB charged (my preference vs. batteries) and in my opinion, you can't possibly have enough lights on yourself as a city commuter on and off of bike path/trails. So yeah, it's an absolute plus in my book.

Great Helmet at a great price
This is my first go at this brand of helmet, but my second with the magnetic visor and i will never go back. I don't know why other riders havent caught on to this style of helmet as it's so convenient , comfortable and you dont have to worry about your glasses falling off. Maybe because it's not a $300+ brand name, but i've tried those too and wasn't that impressed. I love the comfort, the lightweight aero design and the extra safety feature of the rechargeable back light for extra visibility. I ride 25-50 mile rides and this helmet is barely noticeable, except for the awesome outer design that matched my Pinarello perfectly.I know helmets are the #1 priority when riding, but that does mean you need to spend $$$ ?This helmet fits perfectly, looks sharp, has great safety features and is 1/4 the price of the BIG names ... great job Shinmax!!

Comfort / Fit / LED Light / Sun Visor
Very comfortable fit. Light weight. Seems very strong. I ride my bike after work, when it sometimes is getting dark. I saw a guy with a light on the back of his helmet. I assumed that he had fabricated blinking light on the back of his helmet. When I was looking for a helmet this helmet had a rechargeable blinking LED light built into the back of the helmet. It makes you very visible on the road. The magnetic sun visor clips on and is very secure. I ride with contact lens and the visor keeps the air from drying them out. I think this is a good looking helmet with a lot of features for the money.

Worth the money I think
This is very light and fits well. I decided to upgrade as I thought I should not skimp on safety and this felt less save than the Giro. While this is very good if its all you can afford ,I would recommend something safer if you can. I would not buy for my kids.

Does the job
Helmet was light. Better than wearing a hard hat. I liked the flashing light for night ridingDidn’t care much for the chin strap as I have always ridden w/o a helmet. But since I’m riding an e-bike

Great helmet
The different lighting modes makes this helmet fun. I ride from 50 minutes to an hour approx 4-5 times a week and I always have the lights flashing. I've charged it once since I started wearing this helmet about a month ago. I ride in day and night conditions and usually only turn it on on night rides which are rides that I prefer due to less traffic on the roads. The detachable lens is amazing. I just wish it came with a clear lens as well to use for night riding. During the day, it blocks bugs and air from entering my eyes which set my tear ducts off lol. The tint is great and the lens fit well over my glasses which are also transitions which makes for a weird view initially.I mounted a headlight on the top, it was tricky at first until I figured out what I was doing.Love this helmet.

Cool
DISLIKES: part of the headband is bent but its plastic so it can mold to my head. lens's are blurry in spotsLIKES: Good color but ive put stickers on it all ready :) Comfortable a small bit heavy after a long ride but its expected. Love the back light, it plugs in so no changing batterys, larger than most ive seen, built in so it wont fall off and plenty of different modes to choose from. the google are magnetic and snap into place I havent had them fall off yet, there easy enough to do it one handed and while riding if needed AND THEY DONT MESS WITH MY GLASSES on the upper setting, but are a bit snug on the lower setting. chin strap is ok i keep it loose back reflective strip works love the way it rides like a hat not like a bowl like others do sitting on top of your head
